Temple
Your sacred tongue
traces a line across my back
and I arch for you
sweet whispers of pleasure
a declaration of devotion
hanging in the open air
Prayers from forgotten angels
teaching the tenderness of flesh
born of a sanctified fire
that defied piety-
You trace the Fibonacci Spiral
on the base of my spine
working down my bare skin
skimming the lines of ink
whorling and warped
into shades of black
You marvel at the darkness
that hides beneath the pretty
you believed was me
I let you enter my temple
barren, dusted candles
rested on the dias
threadbare tapestry
that once told my story
hanging in tatters
on the altar of my Truth
You set my soul upon the marble
and I awakened-
For you
traces a line across my back
and I arch for you
sweet whispers of pleasure
a declaration of devotion
hanging in the open air
Prayers from forgotten angels
teaching the tenderness of flesh
born of a sanctified fire
that defied piety-
You trace the Fibonacci Spiral
on the base of my spine
working down my bare skin
skimming the lines of ink
whorling and warped
into shades of black
You marvel at the darkness
that hides beneath the pretty
you believed was me
I let you enter my temple
barren, dusted candles
rested on the dias
threadbare tapestry
that once told my story
hanging in tatters
on the altar of my Truth
You set my soul upon the marble
and I awakened-
For you
