99 Problems
I've had people call me stupid
say I'll never get anywhere in life
was called ugly
and told my laugh is weird
been lied to by those I trusted
held up only to be let down
had someone say they love me
then called me a monster later
I can still feel each tear in my heart
so cruel and done so without a care
that's why I stick up for my friend
ride or die for my family
it's also why I say
goodbye to the fakers
and fuck you to the haters
life's too short to second guess
but it all does come back around
I've had people call me wise
say I've done well with my life
been called handsome
and that I have the best smile
have friends that I can trust now
held up till I need to walk away
don't give people the chance to hurt me
the love of my life calls me an animal
but only in the bedroom
her care is as strong as her love is
that's why I am grateful for what I have
and don't worry for what I don't
some people don't get me
now I say it's their lose
because this joy I feel
it didn't come from no where
it took hard work and understanding
I have 99 problems
but negative a-holes ain't one

It's a tricky walk, staying on the friendly distant side of negativity. Sometimes cutting ties is the only healthy recourse...for both parties. Cherish that joy, it's a precious gift :-)
