Let Poetry Define Its Own Inspire Sonnet Six
Let poetry define its own inspire
With words that convolute their standard mean.
For poets must in simple words conspire
To bring to life a world thats never seen.
For how can love be like a red, red rose,
For how can life in coffee spoons be weighed,
For how can petals' silk or sea shells pose,
For guise of wanton gift of loves purvey?
For certainly this challenge has me fraught,
For certainly my lusting I would share,
In verse that seems of other meaning sought,
That seems to catch the reader unaware.
So please, dear reader, seek between my lines,
My seek of deeper shares in love's confines.
