In wilted dreams of today
tides rise without mercy
Scattered pools of desire
are left as waters recede
Hopes bake into evaporation
misting the sky of clouded yesterdays
How is it that the rain
brings it full circle again
New visions for tomorrow
fall as drops into the ocean
Waves crashing new dreams
ashore for my choosing
