she drinks the tears of joy
‘tis but the river
that's my lover
whose incontinence
conceals the tears i shed
upon her bed
she reads my diary:
no inquiry
cross-examines me
about the things i write
deep in the night
all the songs she sings
give me new wings
mountain-purchased heights
deliver me from hell's
final farewell
when the moon is bright
she bids the night
orchestrate for me
her water music suite
to make replete
my burial of pain
i rise again
phoenix from the ash
she drinks the tears of joy
my gladness cries
