.........Of  Promises Broken

Promises......often broken
Truths, unrealized
Trails of lies and deceptions
bring tears and pain to jaded eyes

But as I look through the glass darkly
Sometimes it's hard to see
the manifestations of hurt-my pain
is rooted deeply inside of me......

Be warned however that the overly guarded heart and emotions will allow us to see things that are better left *unseen*
Things that will dash away hopes
Things that stifle all your dreams

Our hopes and dreams are all we are
When we loose them, the heart will surely die
Oh, if you only see through jaded eyes
Life and love will surely pass you by.
