Image for the poem Jolly Roger

Jolly Roger

The skull-and-crossbones flag flies high
Flapping over the open sea
The ship sails where treasures may lie
And where cutthroats might be free

But Captain Roger aims to find
Savage women by the score
Leave all normal tail behind
And sail to more rugged shores

The ship lands in a sheltered cove
Greeted by beauties running bare
Captain and crew begin to rove
And end up in their darkened lair

An orgy rapidly ensues
With Captain Roger singing low
No more sea chanties or the blues
He forgets all four winds when women blow.
