Travel Poems
#travel
Travel poems, poetry about travelling and exploring the world. Poems about our human desire for adventure and exploration. Through travel, we explore and learn about the world, and ourselves. Poetry about encountering different cultures, taking on new challenges, and meeting people with very different lives to our own.
Arizona Highway
I stopped along the roadside
the saguaro cactus caught my eye
caps of snow lying upon
their prickly heads held high.
Never shivering in
their skins of green
as they stood there proudly by
in the Arizona desert
against the pale blue southwest sky.

country summer days
No. 5 from The Children’s Collection]
"Summertime. It was a song. It was a season. I wondered if that
season would ever live inside of me."—Benjamin Alire Sáenz
when city schools are closed,
and freedom recomposed,
i pack my bags and catch the country bus,
excited by the thought
that summertime has brought
elusive liberties so envious.
the bumpy country ride
on treacherous mountainside
is no deterrent to my thumping heart,
steel-anchored to my seat,
tethered by outstretched feet,
like luggage...

Detroit Dreams (Canadian Candy)
I would like to say, thank you for the hospitality of the state of Michigan and the city of Detroit and I humbly bow to the country of Canada for such generous hospitality.
In essence of that, I did not get to the Motown Museum due in part, my bestie and I was retained in Canada and then time because a factor.
Detroit is such a thriving city, and the tourist attractions were phenomenal, and the beautiful mural did the city modern justice.

Mm.. Just Do It... (Detroit Dreams Soundbyte II)
I swear, I had my passport... but my bestie stated she did not have hers by error, well that is the story we are sticking to, you can smile at that confession.
I am just editing some segments bringing it all together. This is the month I will know if I am going to Dubai or Skiing.
This will be the first year since I have been running marathons for years to not allow my Nike’s to pound the pavement.
Within dedication, self-sacrifices as a running coach, and diligently to make sure my running crew is...

Day Tripped!
For before four, came to the fore
I went on a mystery tour
It was at ten to ten
When i arrived at Tenterten
Tentatively travelling
And traversing the town
It was wet, and windy
So i left with a frown
I then bought a ticket to Rye
Still wet, and windy
So i left with a sigh
Until i finally fell over
When visiting the White Cliff's of Dover

my legs
can
no longer
take me
to
the places
i want to
travel,
but
my mind
can
carry me.

multi-dimensional (vibrational echoes)
sometimes I feel non existent
I don't always feel like I am here
as if I'm watching myself play various roles
the martyr, the caregiver,
the seer, the dreamer
the artist, the believer
the do-gooder, the silent one
the counselor, the lover
the fighter, the light demon
the all
the nothing
the one
the loner that is content
of peace and quietness
sometimes I feel as if I'm somewhere else
in a completely different location
of what I always imagine

Canyonlands National Park
What a waste to not wish on an asteroid
In Utah on a cold autumn night
Three shooting stars and counting
Every wish of course was for you
You would have hated this adventure
You liked nicer things
I liked you.
You liked the taste of long aged wine
The rarest 96 Lafite
I just liked watching your happiness
It’s funny because I loved the things
That made you beam and play
But you never liked what I liked
You never liked the wilderness
And family traditions, it never satisfied you
You needed luxury and...

Just Testing The Winds Of Time...
I am testing the unbalanced lightning effect on this last introduction video during my traveling blog, I was in the parking lot of the Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
From this day going forward, a three week much needed vacation, no patients, not scheduled to be on nightly on call, no call center calls in the middle of the night for medication refills, no televisits, no DON duties, no payroll to complete, no hiding out from persistent whining physicians, no pager on my hip, no overhead pages to the triage desk, oh God yes...

Mm.. Hail To Canada
So beautiful to enter, inviting in all sorts of its alluring delights
The beautiful scenery as you are enter, the shopping, taking in such enchanting brief sights
This is all a misunderstanding please
I understand ma’am
But we have to escort you back to the USA, this will not take long, since you state neither of you ladies have no contraband
Girl, why come American men do not look like him
I know, he does smell good what did he said his name was
I think he said Eric, Jim
Girl who cares
If he is the one holding your legs up in...
