Oxymoronic
One dark night on a bright, sunny day,
just before Christmas in the month of May,
I decided to plan a spontaneous trip
and crossed through the desert on a sailing ship.
As we sailed along, the waves grew small;
it seemed we had entered a peaceful squall.
The view from the ship was awfully good
but I didn't enjoy the inedible food.
Soon, I came to a rural city;
its many buildings were terribly pretty.
My ship was greeted by a very small crowd;
They waved politely as I stood tall and bowed.
Although I'd had so much serious...

Between Paradise
Ocean's rising spray
Yes, bliss, though my bones are stale
Sighs duets with swells
Thick air, saline lips
How can joy be forgotten
Tears misplaced to tongue
An oncoming shore
Gliding by islands, solemn
Ending the fortnight
Next two weeks anew
Capsize, please? Home is just home
And, alas, a jaunt
So, I hide the face of time
And pray the stars move slower
Yes, bliss, though my bones are stale
Sighs duets with swells
Thick air, saline lips
How can joy be forgotten
Tears misplaced to tongue

Gliding by islands, solemn

Lag-jet - NaPoWriMo 6
Jetlag
is a Hell of a thing.
It's
being hungover
on Steroids,
while your body
fights to find itself
and remember
Which Continent
it is currently on
and when Lunch
should be.
As your brain
checks in
and
checks out
Because Time has lost all meaning
and all reference
points
spin wildly out of whack,
made even worse
if it Feels
as though you left
Part of your soul behind
As parting is sweet sorrow,
doubly so for your luggage.
is a Hell of a thing.

To Travel - NaPoWriMo 4
If you ever get the chance,
Do travel
Far abroad
To where
your home mundanity
become exotic wonders,
And your unremarked accent
Evokes awed interest.
Go beyond the tourist traps
Of assigned photoshoots;
To where you can chat with locals
And a few fellow
bewildered foreigners,
To places where ordering lunch
is a linguistic trial,
And you smile sweetly
To remarks referencing
That popular global thing
from back home
that wasn’t really your cup of tea
though it did rake in the cash,
It...

Sea Breeze Cafe
In the tourist town of 10B, in the sea breeze cafe, I popped in for a bacon bap and a nice hot latte.
A short dumpy gremlin, whose name was Jolene, was being rude to the customers, tho she was quite pretty.
But only on the face, her greasy hair was tied back in a bun, I'm sure she just like being a b*tch and did it all for fun.
She should work at Karen's cafe, then she would be good at her job, instead of flobbing into people's cups of tea and acting like a yob.
With a screw face on and her arms folded up, she chucked the menu to the customers like...

Butterfly Wings - NaPoWriMo 2
There is something to be said
for travelling solitary,
and how fate
seems to throw situations my way,
such as potentially
helping two cute girls by taking photos.
But alas,
All to often
I am a coward.
So I have to Watch myself
and grasp opportunities
as they happen
Rather than retrace my steps
in vain hope of events repeating.
Yet,
I am sure
That the few chances taken
such as relinquishing my seat,
Do Wonders for my Karma
and help
my fate flow harmoniously.

Forests of Twilight
In blackened dreams
a mist descends from the hills
Unsuspecting
Only the dust moves,
like a funeral veil of melancholy
Sorrow
The traveler of unknown plains
through darkness & light
Confused
Flowers of desirable bloom
Lethal in touch and smell
Death
a mist descends from the hills
Unsuspecting
Only the dust moves,
like a funeral veil of melancholy
Sorrow
The traveler of unknown plains

Confused
Flowers of desirable bloom

the game
let’s take the next train that pulls
in at paddington, and disembark at
the fifth station it stops at, and
do the same there, and at the next stop and the next, and see where we eventually end up, I don’t care ..

t(raveling)
Feeling: a participatory venture
I grace my presence with absence
Why don't you stop and wink
At the idea of curtailing your
Paid lessons
First impressions
Are so unimportant
There's no such thing as a free lunch
Only 30 minutes
To say goodbye
I grace my presence with absence
Why don't you stop and wink
At the idea of curtailing your
Paid lessons
First impressions
Are so unimportant
There's no such thing as a free lunch
Only 30 minutes
