It does have to do with Charles Mingus. He is my favorite big band leader. The Mingo part is also a reference to a jazz group called Mingo Fishtrap.

Same here. You know, the spontaneous nature of your work is befitting of a sax player. Growing up in jazz band as a sax player, my heroes were Charlie Parker, John Coletrane and Ornette Coleman. All spontaneous players. And when it came to poets, the bop prosety of Jack Kerouac made a great influence on me. I will definitely check out your other outlets. I'm Sam, by the way.
