Utopia Poems
#utopia
Utopia poems about paradise and the Utopian dream. Poetry exploring the idea of an imagined place where everything is perfect.
Monoliths
Wintry tears drip deep,
into icy, dark waters
The stream is endless,
as she came to me in the form of paradise
As I envisioned
I made a decision
Wisdom floats
as infinity awaits
into icy, dark waters
The stream is endless,
as she came to me in the form of paradise
As I envisioned
I made a decision
Wisdom floats
as infinity awaits

Who Possesses My Soul?
I can't understand this but I'm dead and I'm talking to you right now
Sounds crazy but it's true.
I was lowered into the ground yesterday around noon
My DOD was 3 days prior
What's really strange is that I remember being placed in the coffin
4 carpeted walls surround me
All different walks of religion say the same thing, a beautiful utopia awaits
Well where is it?
No one greeted me at the gates of heaven
Is this Purgatory?
I have not entered a state of peace, tranquility and serenity
Instead, I've been eager, agitated and...

the pleasant land
The people refused to enter The Pleasant Land, for they wouldn’t
believe His promise to care for them.”― Psalm 106:24 NLT
the silent night sings strange songs,
whose tonics bring no healing to my soul;
for melodies my heart longs,
to classify the pieces of my whole
into their sovereign places.
discordant chords rage bitter
upon the palate of my reverie,
no resolutions fitter
for tears that rivulet my eyes. i see
life's unrepentant faces
that, like the sun, delude me,
though on the edge of...
believe His promise to care for them.”― Psalm 106:24 NLT

We Know Nothing (but we think about it)
I like people
that say,
hey, if things
go bad,
let's run this way.
that say,
hey, if things
go bad,
let's run this way.

blind golden boy
fills his cup of joy
with the blues
deep in Harlem
sax fifth of bourbon
for blue heaven
Latin Jazz wails
in Spanish Harlem midnight
for coconut blues
blue barbarians
strut the Goth jazz
for midnight Huns
flamingo artistes
paint Harlem pink
for the hepcat blues

Some low slung February sun
tried to warm the afternoon breeze
by having fresh vortical fun
on its way through the neighborhood trees
It was a frisky sky today
daring me to stop and stare
and to stay awhile and play
in the finest midwinter air
And so I watched the branches dance
and birdshadow race through the grass
to stop and sing birdsong romance
for fledgling flights at outdoor class
I saw the squirrels come and go
and at the birdbath take a sip
in backlit sunbeam ripple glow ...

>¡* >¡* >¡* dreaming
All that we see or seem is but a dream
within a dream.”―Edgar Allan Poe
mine are not nighttime pillow dreams
that are, at daybreak, fled;
they come forth, bursting at the seams,
when slumberfest is dead.
my eyes are open widest, when
i gaze upon the face
of destinations far from men

communal summer camp
Communal Summer Camp
We, the children of the poor
was sent to this holiday camp because it was healthy
The camp flanked by two mountains that stole the light and a cold lake, we had to swim at seven in the morning, this was called “braising” and good
for us children.
Breakfast at eight, consisting of oatmeal porridge, hard biscuit and milk
Boot camp for children.
Three weeks of this and we were let loose to roam
the town of summer dust.
Climb trees in the park to get away from the adults
who had forgotten their own childhood.

chasing the big dream
a meandering view of the pursuit of happiness
A KristinaX-cabcool Collab
if you are the sun,
then i am the moon;
wherever you run,
follow must i, soon.
for you are the light
that shines from above
to furnish me sight,
lest vainly i rove.
i shine but for thee—
how sweet a delight

Stiletto Meadow
At nine years old
The water ate my lungs
Turning me ice cold
In the year 1984
With my mother’s heels on
Playing dress up
And hop scotch
Across the pond
Where the scent of
My ghost lives on
Gliding with the swans
I’m dead and gone
Butterfly broken wings
Reflect beside my
Fossilized teeth
Playing hide and seek
Sunflowers larger
Than the vintage sun
Gave rays of shade
To my antique bones
It’s now 2084
I’m dead and gone
But the scent of my
Ghost...
