We Know Nothing (but we think about it)
I like people
that say,
hey, if things
go bad,
let's run this way.

communal summer camp
Communal Summer Camp
We, the children of the poor
was sent to this holiday camp because it was healthy
The camp flanked by two mountains that stole the light and a cold lake, we had to swim at seven in the morning, this was called “braising” and good
for us children.
Breakfast at eight, consisting of oatmeal porridge, hard biscuit and milk
Boot camp for children.
Three weeks of this and we were let loose to roam
the town of summer dust.
Climb trees in the park to get away from the adults
who had forgotten their own childhood.

Stiletto Meadow
At nine years old
The water ate my lungs
Turning me ice cold
In the year 1984
With my mother’s heels on
Playing dress up
And hop scotch
Across the pond
Where the scent of
My ghost lives on
Gliding with the swans
I’m dead and gone
Butterfly broken wings
Reflect beside my
Fossilized teeth
Playing hide and seek
Sunflowers larger
Than the vintage sun
Gave rays of shade
To my antique bones
It’s now 2084
I’m dead and gone
But the scent of my
Ghost...

Conformity
Fields of green standing in hip high grass untamed free . And all we do is cut away a blade at a time to reveal conformity with stripes of green shaved to be stood upon admired . This Isn't a field of dreams and hide and seek and squeals of laughter escaping
rosy red cheeks . No this is our back yard a
symmetrical green strip that wishes to been seen just as they are .

Stakes
Facing our fears
we throw
a stick in
Unrelenting in our
presence
of many
Hopeful and hopping
on
one leg
and putting it off
Try to pull out the shaft of
the arrow real quick
make it a clean break
I pray they take the bait -
and we wait
Never been so scared in my life
And I knew how it'd end
I knew how it'd end
Facing our fears as we
throw our
sticks in
We carried death right
out of the village
We witnessed it

A Small Seaside Village
In a small seaside village, where waves caress the shore,
Where hustle and bustle echo, tales of lore,
Men ply their trade, from honest to thieves bold,
Bread exchanged, from hands pure to hearts cold.
Pickpockets dance amidst the crowded streets,
Snatching fortunes with nimble, deceitful feats,
While fishermen, with weary arms and weathered face,
Sell their precious catch, their livelihood's grace.
Sailors from distant lands, their treasures unfurled,
Bring linen and wares, stories of a wider world,
The village, a hub of trade,...

On The Eve
Alexandra Park
My lost Eden
But without
Apples, snakes, or sex!
Well, not yet
We do have apples trees growing
And quick slow worms
Who knows what's next?
What this could lead to
On the Eve
Of a new beginning
Probably nothing
In particular
Just some guilty grinning!

the crime of war
The crime of wars
All wars are criminal acts against humanity, as this war
fought for the last eight years
Initiated by a hegemony insisting on being the ruler
of the western world and beyond will not tolerate
a supposed threat against their supremacy.
Willing to scarify other countries in the quest for power
The situation is the invaders of Ukraine see this as a war
of survival, not to have daggers stuck in its heart
All wars are wrong; whoever drops the first rocket and
the hapless die.
What is one to do? When people are...

Full moon part 1of 3
Just another night I hit my local bar.
Leaving my artistic studio,
Long off-white curtains on my windows,
Tall ceilings and hardwood floors that creek,
Constantly water drip drops from the sink,
Buildings hallways are hollow exit leading to an alleyway that is very narrow.
Flash backs of every mortal that I’ve been gifted
It’s the full moon that lifts the dead.
Something is different tonight there’s a new soul to be gifted
The gift of immortality, my thirst for tonight is not for quantity,
A blood🩸 rich and hot...
