They Call Her...Yuki-Onna

Stygian night
In depths within forest
Blizzards of snow
Brings the spirit
The owner of white flakes

She treads upon arctic paths
Her footprints do not parade
Nefarious presence she brings
As fear settle on trees

A stagnant, steady pace she walks
In search to feed...

Skin illuminates with snow
Cold, and hauntingly beautiful
Elegant eyes, that pierce hearts
In her path, awaits misfortune
Of a man, lost by such grace

A wave of her hand...
And he is frozen
Breath of life leaves his body

Tips and lips turn to frost
As she approaches the icebound form
Gently parts his lips
Closes in to partake her meal

Vital energy of life
Leaves his embodiment, as it swirls
Into her mouth, then she swallows
Savors every taste of soul

She turns then leaves
As frigid body slowly shatters

A sepulchral night
The moon is shadowed
By dancing snowflakes covering their mistress's tracks

With the blizzard...
She is gone

Another sacrifice puts away her appetition
