(Black)Star of David
First anniversary of return
Lazarus risen from death
Blackstar a window'd cloud
The Wolf Moon hexagram'd
O! Thou external of man
Evolved from matrix'd dust
O! Thou internal of Spirit
Play'd David's secret chord
Experienced we its fall to earth
Beheld its sanctuary'd Truth
~

This entry gave me chills
Our world took a wrong turn into a black hole when Bowie left the platform.
I wanted to write about him but it's too personal for me, glad you did.
This is where our spiritual worlds meet A
Will have to listen to LOW soon

Thanks, Poet. It has been a year, and who knows what's ahead. Hard to believe he would've been 70.
This was a quick reception during a moment with the moon. I don't feel it's finished. But, then again, none ever are.

Ahavati, I read this a couple of days ago and couldn't find the right words to express just how spiritually moving and mesmerizing this ink is.
....and I still haven't found the right words. xo

Appropriately, this poem feels like semi-cryptic song lyrics from one of Bowie's albums. The archaic use of contractions ("sanctuary'd") and mythological imagery work well here, to create an almost psalm-like effect. Thank you for the read.
