I. Ishvara
my beloved one
will you carry me
help me surrender
to this life's destiny
what is this existence
is it simply a daydream
the phantasy of a seraph
the shadow of the rainbow
the inkling and the twinkling
in the blink of an all seeing eye
will you remain a mysterious why
reveal yourself and lead me, please
retrace the course back to its source
to end in innocence and divine peace
help me remember the beauty of life
help me surrender to the unknown
guide me to the garden of eden
where your tree of life grows

"what is this existence
is it simply a daydream "
how many times have i
threw that question into
the UNI-verse...
this is beautifully written Duende
and of course you know
how i love your formatting

Thank you for your wonderful comment, Naajir!
Many of us have that question, especially when the Universe keeps testing you... I knew one day I had to dedicate a writing to it and I'm glad it is received so well :-)

Beautiful job, Duende. My favorite lines:
help me remember the beauty of life
help me surrender to the unknown
That kind of surrender requires a level of trust I've rarely been capable of. I require guidance when not knowing what lies ahead precipitates my sense of dread. I'll look up the title, hopefully become better educated about the spiritual component here. Fine work!

Thank you so much, Crowfly!
For me it's a tough one as well... surrendering to the unknown!
The title comes from yoga, it's a practice which helps us surrender! Ishvara means Higher Source/Universe (God for some people) and Pranidhana means to surrender to...

While Spiritual, this poem almost borders on Eroticism ... hard to separate the two when they speak as one ... Beautiful this piece is as you are, my Duende ... ~xo, Devlin.

Lady Devlin, you always make me smile with your comments!
When I started writing this piece my intention was to interweave those two... it ended up more on the spiritual side! I'm really happy you felt what lies underneath my words!!!
Love to you...

Re. I. Ishvara
Siding somewhat with Devlin.......
........solitary candle light
the tingling of meditation bells
naked in submission, like a prayer,
oh Ishvara, grant me the enlightenment
to see my way along this dark darkened path.
Bowing before the heavens in supplication, she is
a perfect sacrifice.
You are a most perfect sacrifice indeed, hoping that your wishes are granted unto you : ) I would grant you anything...
...respectfully feeling the spirituality and sensuousness of your words.

The willingness you portrayed in this poem is just beautiful. Feels wide open and safe in a usually vulnerable place.
Great wording. Liike

I'm digging the form of a prayer style here. Very inspiring. Perhaps, one of my works may owe thanks to this finely penned ink!! :)

Thank you so much for your comment!
This one is very dear to me... letting go is a main theme in my life...
I feel honored that you thought it was inspiring!
I try to read and comment on every poem posted by the people I follow (unless they're posting 4 poems a day) and I hope one day I will find a 'prayer' from your pen as well!
I sometimes miss things, but if that happens... let me know!

I read as much as I can too, but, due to my limited attention and focus, I need a certain setting for reading. So I miss some quite often as well.

Seems like I met a fellow ADD "sufferer"
My mindset is not always on reading, but once I'm focused and start to read... I can't stop!
After your 7 comments in a row I'm starting to believe we have some things in common ;-)

Haha, right on! Lol. I dunno how I feel about the term, ADD, maybe I do have it. I mean, I can't even have a phone call with other people in the room.
