A life more meaningful

I've been to other places other than here
Seen a country still devastated by its own war
Went To the local orphanage
Little kids asleep on the cold floor
All alone and no where else to go
Breaks your heart knowing
I couldn't do much to help
Stayed for a month
Wanted to stay longer
But life permitted otherwise
Oh how I wish I could have stayed forever
Life wasn't so stressful and a lot more meaningful
