the opening is a killer..

"One shiny valium later ..tucking deeply betwixt sleep,      
mind plants macabre foilages to fend self-doubts in creep.
Beneath starving defiled lines of skeletal lemon trees,
unguarded, my living-death roots seeketh tranquility"

the image of skeletal lemon trees seeking tranquility painfully masterful..

Damn lady you can write in awe of your mind and mighty pen..

Wow! Strong images, anxiety, fear creeping into day and sleep. I have had to take pills to stop fear,  especially in dream.

You write so beautufully, keep your purpose amongst pretty words and phrases.

Can alienate if words are fancy and big and the reader cant understand...u
R not like this.

You give glorious words, and work lovely design with their lay. But you still understand.

I don't know why this reminds me of Queensryche's Silent lucidity, but it does.
It's a mournful write filled with imagery that brings it to life.

What a masterful close out to this poem of the "living death" is foremost in my thoughts.

To be optimistic within this dark-filled piece of poetical writing is tantamount to David slaying Goliath . . .

You peg me every time Jerry dears.. feels a living-death asleep or awake these last few days of worsenings. you are a heartwarming positive m'friend, endlessly appreciate you!

So many turbulent emotions caught in your lines.  The anxiety can be a killer. "I forego hate-laced stitches to bathe in sunbursting streams."  That line alone is an inspiration.  Fear, bitterness, resentment and all the other toxins can carried off in the current.  I'm weaning off the Valium myself and am going to keep this one for comfort.  Thanks Darksighs!

I must say I'm feeling a bit tart after reading this. I am not going to say "if life gives you lemons..."  Because l does. But it also gives you oranges and pineapples. You give wonderful descriptions of that sour tree that I wonder if it still produces fruit. Maybe the invocation of sweet sanguine dreams will answer. Lovely write darksigh.

I am flattered to have inspired you. ! Blood oranges are always interesting....so are KUMquats. Writers block sucks...which is when I just write and be surprised by the words that pop on the page. Regardless if I like it or not. :)
