Mars is the most obvious planet in the sky, and has odd orbital movement. The ancients were aware of this and some feared it thinking a beligerant god caused its movement. Mars, also called aries by some..my sign. Wanted to make the analogy....mars, my mover, lover. And me jealous of the more powerful lover that moves my aries.

He'll feel your gravitational pull sooner or later.  I know little about astrology, or astronomy for that matter,  but this is stellar.  Excellent work Jennifer!

I just enjoy the view from the constellation Virgo. Always enticing.

Lovely to flesh the male protagonist in this out by embracing signs. A great, short poem that contains the depth it needs to and remains on task.  One error: i *capital? I really enjoy the lack of punctuation here as a creative style. Write on!

~this speaks volumes in one line.. the connection to our sun [and moon signs].. as our ruling planet guides all, so I had to chuckle at your "[I'm] jealous" line.. cuz I often feel my virgo wanting to ring Mercury or hogtie for such events endured.. lol.

Love your poem. Although the Greek name of  Mars is Ares while Aries denotes the zodiacal constellation between Pisces and Taurus. ;-)

I would not pretend to know my zodiac.
This was not specific towards any type. Greek or otherwise. There were people that called mars aries. This was based more in astronomy and fantasy.

 I got the notion to write this watching a doc on Orson Wells doing the war of the worlds. Mars has been a fancy for thousands. Its close, what if?
Heard a few facts, and made miself a love triangle. Though of course i mentioned being made to move by its forces, and we all are made moved by something bigger than ourselves.
A planet, sun, god, lover, devil....

It was fun to see ever one say, im aries im that way, my boyfriend aries hes that way.

And jealousy over the people or planets that take the center of our lives, and move them, with us unable to help it.

Your information is interesting, and i would dig to know more.

This though. Was a simple love triangle.

When reading the first lines of your poem, my impression was that you were writing this from the perspective of Venus....:-)
