Life After The Worlds Death

As the crows hover.
The dark clouds move above her.

She mourns the ones dead.
Its hard to live in its stead.

The corpses walking through the cities streets.
Any sense of semblance leaves.
To stay on earth she begs and pleads.

Toxicity of all reality.
There really is nothing left to see.

The roads are crowded by abominations of life.
Every loving husband has lost his loving wife.

With a pistol in hand,
She walks through this once fruitful land.

If there is anyone else alive,
She will find them in time.

Moans coming slowly from rotting mouths.
She hears shots ringing from distant towns.

Could it really be?
Full speed ahead she is running.
Someone else surviving like me?
The chance of starting over is stunning.

A shot into the sky.
To warn the other that a human is nearby.

The human whips around.
Towards that unlovely sound.

Facing each other in quiet awe.
This has to be against apocalyptic law.

She recognizes the features of the face.
Her sister is alive! This feeling she cant erase.
Emotions let loose as they embrace.
