since i met you  / i’m so glad / my nerve endings work

& fingertip muscles... tongue / receptors, ear lobes

now aware

of my pumping / neck, baby hair at the nape

tender inside of forearm, shape of my shoulders

the sudden ecstatic tangle

of your white fingers            in my black hair
                         
as we wake at dawn / the strange warm galaxy spinning between my hips

since i met you

i give praise for my whole body

i pray for health because of love.
