Oh Why
have you left me in the dark?

Lost
in the shadows of silence
what
have I done to deserve this night?

You don't understand my pain
see, I know this now to be true
else why am I pouring out  my heart in vain?
how do you continue to not see me, look right thru?

broken
inside, never wanted to lose why pretend
this Shade, keeps me
feeling brittle from the cold
you must comprehend this has to end...

though I suspect it truly don't matter
sought, you said looking for a real friend
instead like sand, blasted my heart and it shatter
see the darkness coming back 'round the bend...

no longer need I wonder why,  I'm not 'effort-afforded' a thing
go on, move bye, wasted tears have now dried
momentary was the light shining in the dark's ring
but you can put it all on yourself, because I know I really tried...


This Shade
hurts like without feeling me,  deep a troubled soul
so alone,
wish I felt some light, instead I'm just trapped in the Shade...
