When we were in Secondary School, I was a member of the School Literature and Library Club. We had a literature lesson, almost everyday, where we read the old writers such as Charles Dickens and George Eliot etc. So we learnt to appreciate words even though it was our second language. Anyway, I like how you evaluate poems, Missy.
My favourite is Robert Frost among others.
The same question and why?

Truth is, Im uncultured. Ive never been much of a reader. It bores me. Not the content, but the act itself. So, I recognize the names of the great poets but I haven't read enough of any particular poet to say they are my favorite. Ive read more poetry since joining this site then I have in my entire life. Maybe that's why I don't care for all the abstract stuff. The poems that feel like they are hiding the intention under a lot of...fancy words and wordplay. I just dont get them.
Anyway, since that isn't really an answer to who my favorite poet is, let's stick with that question and let someone with taste answer.

I’m in love with spoken word poets - Fleassy Malay. Rachel Wiley. Hollie McNish. Eric Sirota. Rudy Francisco.
Written poets - Gregory Orr. Donald Hall. Wallace Stevens. Anne Sexton. Ella Frears.
I don’t think I could pick one.
I would however advise maybe listening to more of spoken word artists if you can’t bear the act of reading. It really brings it alive.

I do like running solo. But a member of the crew isn’t a bad place to be.

Early. I can’t abide being late.

You keep hitting all my weak spots. I dont really own much right now. My life has been in shambles since the divorce and I cant find the motivation to do a damn thing about it. I live a very small existence.
I'd like to hear yours, though.

It changes like the wind blows. In this moment I'll go with this one.
Hit me with one?
