Lady......
(I'm trying some different things here and I'm not really sure about the ending here so comment please and feel free to make suggestive changes. )
A small table across a smokey room, she sits
Warm glow upon angelic face
Cognac in glass and that smile
Man that doesn't hurt one bit
Catching a glance as my fingers dance
across white and black keys
I play her melody...........
.......she is "that" lady.
The quaint venue closes
We are both moving toward the door
A waiting cab back to my place ...

Blackbird In The Rain
From my window
Blackbirds playing in the rain
So wild, so carefree
At peace, the way the creator wanted them to be
So I rush from my chair
running through the door
Into the gentle rain
Crying, sobbing-not wanting this hurt anymore
I just want to feel
the freedom that they must feel
For that moment, carefree and fearless
Liberating and so surreal
as they frolic in the rain
wet and alive as can be
Wishing and praying
Little bird, please be me
My madonna, illness
My life, persecution
I wear in armour my...
Blackbirds playing in the rain
So wild, so carefree

(a memory of an anniversary I'd just as soon forget)
You Should Have..........
....never gotten up with me from the start
You should have never come here to leave me and break my heart.
You should have never tried to even travel down this road
When you clearly knew the rocky path we’d have to go
You should have never placed all our love on just one day
On that one decision, you simply threw us all away
You should have never opted to leave me with just one choice
You should have listened with...

I sit in silence and hear my heart
Calling out to you so loudly until it is
Deafining.................
Yet in the cacophony of it’s sound
I feel peace in it’s precense
Joy in it’s melody
In it’s rhythm, I feel your love
A language; I long to understand
Because this thing, love I don’t understand-It flutters nervously
I don’t know why it makes me so secure yet unsecure all at once
I don’t know why it draws me near yet attempts to drive me away
