I have been writing for years, I have been published in a local paper a few times. My poems are meaningful, emotional and sometimes I might just have some fun with comedy or horror.

Life Worth Living
Today is a new day
I awake with a smile, an unsure smile
Getting up I feel the cold
Wrapped tight in the black blanket
Steps taken towards trees fail to bring warmth
The whitened wet floor brings heat
Questioned past, empty heart
Pasts loves, ugly path
Empty heart, empty stomach
Dangerous streets, paper walls
From hated to hated,
Lonely to lonely
Steps toward the same life
Steps toward a new world
Happiness rare, but living is great worth
Towering buildings to...

UPBEAT INSPIRATIONAL POEM

Bloody Smile
Only one knows the truest form of my own self,
but two knows the concious thoughts of my head.
I dream of a time I can have a voice without fear,
a fear of pain and rejection.
I wrote without fear, one year plus five,
Yet never will I stop.
Who knows I live, that I am alive?
Who cares for my tears, my cries?
Who will listen to wisdom?
Two proud memories, two lost pains,
yet others are bound in my heart.
When did they listen, or care?
When did family ever raise happiness?
Or a mate inspire felicity?
...

Ruins
Desire for the past loves, lust, and first love!
A pretty face better than all else seen!
Amygdala knows best, it's great desire!
In my heart and mind I am pulled,
being pulled even to tears,
For a truly perfect love is found only once.
In my hand is sand from the warmest beach,
The first rock of sand is the one I desire to keep,
Once dropped, can I ever find it again?
Her darkened skin, her wild personality, can it be matched?
Carefree, desired by the adults even at eleven,
She was taken by the immoral world....

Fear
Respect fading, anger wanted;
Education a horrifying matter!
Where is the genius?
Where did he run to?
Kids have begun crying in site of books!
Bibliophobia everywhere,
Afraid even to learn.
Sophophobia abundent!
Learn not what kindness is,
Fear not hurting a friend,
Care not about a stranger.
What has come of stupidity?
Anger and pain life's misery!
The game of life defined by morons.
Cry now, as life gets worse.

Blood
A man equipped to kill, defends by death.
White man, black man down.
Racial diffrences sparks the flame otherwise cold;
Undying hatred for a defending man.
Truth is hidden in the darkness of night,
For the black hides the blood,
The black hides the truth.
An armed man hated for his defense.
Innocent man turned killer,
Innocent kid remains innocent.
Teens remain innocent in the minds of society,
Eighteen being the year of criminalhood.

Society's Artistic Downfall
Smile on the face of a clown,
a silly man in a covered face
now creates!
Men and woman in line,
following what is tainted.
Their god has fallen.
A blind crowd paints,
raven sits nearby,
trial has brung error.
A pictures moves toward fire,
the mind toward shutting down,
the feet toward destruction.
We give ourselves what we desire.
Desire gives vengence.
Vengence=death

Book
The mind twists under each word,
as does the heart.
Words put together,
Zero sense.
Knowledge refused,
clearly seen.
The world refuses,
they refuse great gold.
Love, knowledge, what joy!
It is refused, traded for pain.
Give me a book, I will read.
Escape from the lacking world,
Riches are in the books.
Long life, mysteries, stories!
Science and history are not lacking!
Grab a book!
Never need for packing.
Live for knowledge, truth, and Joy.
Search,...
as does the heart.
Words put together,
Zero sense.
Knowledge refused,
clearly seen.

Wronged
Pain, a universal feeling, simple.
Hurt, we know pain is bad,
Should hurting not be bad?
Happy, rare feeling, complicated.
Smiles, everything is alright.
Should healing be bad?
Right and wrong, black and white;
Given darkness to find the light.
We search for life, stuck with pain.
We try in groups to keep up the fight.
The weak stand and fight the weak,
The lonely read, and are hurt by the weak.
The educated forget their common sense,
And in the end we all forget what we seek.
Basic emotion, a protector, or enemy....
Hurt, we know pain is bad,
Should hurting not be bad?
Happy, rare feeling, complicated.
Smiles, everything is alright.

Changing
I am weak, weak at the heart.
I have loved, not again.
People change, change hurts.
A lover must care, truely care;
When will I find this?
Love friends, hate strangers,
Yet all friends once was a stranger.
Careless about a future friend,
Is this the way of man?
People are changing, becoming evil;
Uncaring, hating the one from their womb.
Kids growing up as destroyers, true losers.
Love is lost, fading from the foreground.
I seek love, I find hatred.
I seek friends, I find enemies.
I seek a life,...

Numb
Words spoken, they bring me pain;
Cover my heart, they only break through!
Lay my heart on the stone!
Misunderstood, as I would misunderstand,
Smart I am called, dumb they make me feel;
Down the Nile my happiness floats.
Love for me, did it ever exist?
Was I a game to play, a loser to fool?
Wisdom took a vacation, I was left bleeding.
Left in the cold waiting, broken,
body and heart in winter alike,
for a broken man I am.
Walking dead I am, numb and alone;
never to feel love, true love again.
Cover my heart, they only break through!
Lay my heart on the stone!
Misunderstood, as I would misunderstand,

Mystery!
A troubling mystery!
Dark lights compliment a desire,
A desire born of rage!
Quarintined in a hidden room,
Hidden away in lights.
An eternal mystery,
In a mystery I reside.
Angered by brains, challenged by smarts.
When will people choose to learn?

Box
Darkness inside, surrounded by cracked wood,
Broken by years of torment and nothing good,
Truth resides inside, broken by lies,
Broken by long goodbyes.
Cracked by years of deafening tear,
All these years, could not bear.
Strength faded to black, for never again,
Could it deal with this deadly sin.
Active mind, always watching,
Yet none listen,
Never again,
Will I leave this prison!
Broken by years of torment and nothing good,

All these years, could not bear.
