Lockdown
So, this lockdown is still in effect,
I'm not the only 1 feeling it I bet.
I know that it's for a good reason,
But for the old days I'm honestly grieving.
Heads up, I'm diagnosed mentally insane,
But this situation has got me losing my brain.
1 thing that normally helps is going out, But now I can't do that, the voices shout. When they're bored, they just pick on me,
And there's only 1 thing I can do or so it seems.
But that 1 thing is something I can't do, As I promised my Mum, so I must stay true.
But...
I'm not the only 1 feeling it I bet.

UPBEAT INSPIRATIONAL POEM

Bullied?
Was talking to someone earlier about being bullied as a kid,
It brought back some shit on which I thought I'd put a lid.
Brought back a nickname I haven't been called in years,
Something that made me different and provoked lots of tears.
Decades of agony that live in my head not paying rent,
Dawned on me now, wasn't my fault, my tears are now spent.
Because taking such abuse has in a way given me pride,
As thinking about it, from my bullies I never did hide.
I fronted them out, always stood toe to toe,
Was it stupidity or young macho...
It brought back some shit on which I thought I'd put a lid.

Fine
I'm fine, I'm always fine,
Just happens to be 1 of my lines.
I say it when all shit hits the fan,
As a saying, it should be banned.
Say it when I don't want people to know,
Exactly why I'm feeling so low.
That saying is my defense, my buffer,
Say it when I'm down and things can't get much rougher.
I say it automatically as a response,
Behind those words I try to escond.
Said it so much that people now know,
That when I say it they might aswell go.
As it's a shield behind which I hide,

My rock
You always and forever have been my rock,
Even when I'm lost at sea and far from the Dock.
I've said it before, you're always there when I need,
And all of your advice I do honestly heed.
You're always there to help me through my foggy mental state,
More than just my Mum, you're my best mate.
You'll never really know, just how grateful I am,
You balance me out, you're the Yin to my Yan.
To me you will always be, an absolute legend,
Everyday you should know, that my love is sent.
In times of hardship, when I'm in the eye of the storm, ...
Even when I'm lost at sea and far from the Dock.

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

Help
I'm considered vulnerable in the community,
And for that, a woman's just been shopping for me.
Although I'm grateful for her assistance,
Her help hasn't made me give a song and dance.
Coz it means I'm at such a low point,
Only thing to make me higher is a well rolled joint.
She donated her time to help other folk,
And to her, I'm just another helpless bloke.
I really am so grateful for her time,
Just wish that on my own I'd be fine.
There's so many others worse off than me,
Think I've taken up her time selfishly.

Covid
This corona virus has given me writer's block,
All my ryhmes seem to be under a lock.
Because whatever I say will be so trivial,
Whereas this pandemic is ever so real.
Impossible to think, don't know where my thoughts lie,
As it's a real threat our loved ones could die.
Suppose all we can do is try to stay safe,
Wake up each morning, put on a brave face.
When you go out, cover your nose and your mouth,
Little things like that can stop this from going south.
Take more than a little care, use a hand sanitiser,
Need an incentive, look at the...

NHS
In these times of a terrible pandemic,
Who's at the front line? Oh yes our medics.
For everyone that works for the NHS,
We as the public should feel blessed.
For the cleaners, porters and nurses,
I couldn't say thank you in 100s of verses.
To thank them for being on the frontline,
Fighting this battle no matter the time.
Working all hours on an endless shift,
We as the public should value their gift.
The NHS is the backbone of our land,
And each worker I'd love to shake by the hand.
Each and every one of them should be applauded, ...

A binding distance
A beautiful thing in this world of diversity,
Is humankinds strength to push through adversity.
None of us are blessed with invulnerability,
But with loved ones we get through most of our difficulties.
In life we should live up to 1 responsibility,
That's to respect everyone despite their eccentricities.
7 billion of us in this collectivity,
All of us blessed with our unique idiosyncrasies.
So we should strive to live with congeniality,
And love each other to the best of our abilities.
Don't look at yourself as some kind of royalty,

2 mtrs apart
Like the effects of this corona virus,
That we all fear we have inside us.
With regards to love, since the start,
I've always seemed to be 2 meters apart.
Like with the virus, I self isolate,
I'm always home alone, never with a mate.
When it comes to matters of the heart,
I always seem to be 2 metres apart.
This pandemic we watch on the news,
For me staying in alone, I use as an excuse.
When it comes to knowledge of love I'm not smart,

Today started out really quite well,
Not quite heaven but far from hell.
Weather's quite fair, I'm fine in a light coat,
Then along comes a breeze, pulled my zip up and it broke.
Something so little and trivial but yet,
Makes me start to panic, get anxious and sweat.
My mood starts to dive and the anger begins,
It wells up from somewhere really deep within.
I feel myself glaring at everyone in the street,
They look at their shoes, my gaze the won't meet.
The voices in my head start screaming right now,
Telling me to hurt people...

Part of the team?
Today there was a party full of laughter,
My invite in the post was obviously a non stater.
The party was for a B.D of someone I consider a mate,
Sat here wondering why I never got through the gate.
Thought we were close and I was considered quite dear,
But just goes to show, obviously don't want me near.
Do I come across more than certifiably insane?
Or am I just a loser at this friendship game?
Maybe holding myself in such low esteem,
Forbids me from being, 1 of the team.

Hope
Life always seems to take a funny turn,
You can feel low sometimes and your spirit burns.
Seems for an eternity there's no way out,
All you can do is despair and scream and shout.
You feel so down and utterly alone,
Just wishing that someone would call your phone.
That feeling of loneliness is so depressing,
Whatever you do, you can't help but stressing.
But when you feel like that and just want to weep,
Look inside yourself and find the inner strength you keep.
Because there will be someone to help you,
A friend to be there even just for...
