2 mtrs apart

Like the effects of this corona virus,
That we all fear we have inside us.
With regards to love, since the start,
I've always seemed to be 2 meters apart.

Like with the virus, I self isolate,
I'm always home alone, never with a mate.
When it comes to matters of the heart,
I always seem to be 2 metres apart.

This pandemic we watch on the news,
For me staying in alone, I use as an excuse.
When it comes to knowledge of love I'm not smart,
I always seem to be 2 metres apart.

Maybe like this virus, my loneliness will end,
And with mates and a partner my time I will spend,
But as I can't draw and love is an art,
I guess I'll remain 2 metres apart.
