Slow dancing alone
On the ledge of
The highest skyscraper
Wearing a long
Black gown chosen
From her closet full
Of orphaned dresses
Numb from airplane
Birds flying by
No longer wondering
Or wishing to cry
Gracefully moving to
Musical games of lost
Russian Roulette parents
Too desensitized
To hear the fear
Up high on steel
Concrete and mirrored glass
Reflecting her slightly
Crooked balancing act
With indifferent confidence
Her black endless dress ...

Baptized by midnight moonshine
Shedding skin with distant howls
Echoes casting majestic spells
Imprinting her stamp into the ether
Ripples traveling through forest
Caressing grey lightening clouds
Same color as her amplified fur
In tune with murky elements
Anticipating her hunt
That’s been heaven sent
Thousands of years and broken love cycles
From natures vault of immortal curses
The same smell
The same aura
The same taste
Traveling in silver laced air
Beaming like a pulsing beacon ...

Whispered Lies
Swarms of whispered lies
With precision radiate
From the black wishing well
Filled with lonely pennies
Shining with quiet destruction
Towards my glass home
Made with limestone grains
Of mistakes and hope
Swarms of whispered lies
Out tonight like desperate flies
Wanting so badly to taint
Everything with the paint of pain
Blackout the truth
I already knew
In my bones
Last week

Bat wings emerge
From the heart's aortas
Caged inside a red rose
Metallic skeletal frame
Busting out of the box
A Pandora Aurora
Of sweeping blue green
Blazing fiery flames
Flying with the flow
Soaring high diving low
Excited to take flight
Into the Babylon night

Hanging on a prayer

Weight pressing on my chest
My spirit needs to rest
Avoidance hopes to stall
Doom from the upcoming fall
Inhaling everything compressed
Good Intentions make a mess
Building on a prayer
Replacing all my broken stairs
So I can climb up high
Stream with the sun across the sky
Engulfing me

Blue Jean Sea
Wondering if you’ll hold
A breathing note you can fold
Stuff in your Blue Jean Sea
With deep pockets and frayed edges
Of white trickling foam
Weep and seep your salt into me
Whitecap crests like hands
Too heavy to touch a beach sun
Fingertip tides so high
Raise me into your water palm
From miles of haunted shoreline
Erase my sunken footsteps
My black hair will be your keratin cape
Cloaking each drowned living memory
My soaked lungs will help you breathe

Roaming on a white cloud
No matter time of year
In the blistering sun
Or frozen sleet and snow
A spiritual sacred creature to call upon
That grazes on illness and ailment
Replaces uncertainty with tenacity
Bestowing bravery for your next step
To stampede into a war cry
Towards the cliff of cancer
Challenging it with strength
Mustered prayer and faith
To take the courageous leap
To be graced with hope
And a herd of
