DU Podcast Thread
How about interviewing the DU Poet of the month?
& if they are too shy / introverted, ask 'em if You could do a Narrative with them where they answer Q's but they personally don't have to speak
(You did ask for suggestions)
I have thoroughly enjoyed every Podcast -- awesome work e1

Hello.
We have been doing Poet Of The Month interviews in every episode (tea with a winner feature)
However, as so many winners didn’t want to participate, we have swapped as of this month to our new feature “The Reading List” as this makes interviews more accessible and gives us a wider pool for people to get involved / take part.
Narratives are good in theory, but can make a conversation sound robotic and un-organic. It’s something I would personally like to avoid, being generic.
Thank you for your feedback.

I like all of the format. I like the addition of poets reading their work like Josh and Jade last month, could do with that feature continuing. Love daniels commentary on poems he has great insight and I would like to have him give one of my poems Daniel treatment. I also like the introduction of music in DU for all you songwriters. I would like to see you three being interviewed. Would like to see all the heads of the DU groups being interviewed and would like to see interviews with people taking on 50 questions in five minutes quickfire a bit like word association

I'd love to do a Spotlight of your work David I will put you on my list. I have one work in mind immediately that really moved me, but I'll cruise through your body of works to make sure I am picking the one that speaks to me most strongly.
Those are awesome suggestions especially the last one. Thank you so much for being in our corner. I love that the podcast is for members, by members, bringing a new dimension and positive element to our worldwide family of writers.

Submissions currently requested from members! This is a community project. We need the community.

D-Dawg... do your Spotlight magic.

Music coming up in the very next episode! We love to feature music when possible. However is currently a little thin on the ground.

This may happen sooner than you think.

We’ve been toying with this idea for a while, as we would love to highlight the work that individual groups do. Sometimes the groups feel like a bit of an afterthought. We especially wanted to get Rhyme & Reason involved. Get some discussion going on.

A few thoughts:
• Perhaps a critique questions thread so we can select a few to answer each month?
• Critiquing comp - winner gets their poem on the podcast?
• Formulate a mini team that could produce a five / ten minute slot on the podcast about the group, things that have gone on in the group, highlights, burning issues.... that kind of thing?
Or... the mini team could discuss the critique issues themselves. That would be cool. Would need to be a regular team however. Need reliability.
... ok I’m out of ideas.

We’re looking to put together a team of about 3-4 members who would be able to record poetry by other members regularly.
Clearly not everybody wants to read their poetry out loud... we understand that.
However, to make this and the competitions accessible to everyone, we’re looking for a regular team we can turn to to record poems for us. Because I’m sure as shit you hear enough of us three in interviews.... hehe. It’s good to get other people involved.
What’s involved?
• Recording poems for The Poetcast Project as and when they are required from people who want to submit their poetry, but don’t want to read it out loud. Might be one a month. Might be one every couple of months.
• If the sub-team would like to take over the management of the monthly comp in the future, that’s something I’m definitely open too depending on what volunteers feel they can do, time wise. This is not mandatory... this is if anybody has a burning urge too and would like a little responsibility.
What’s required?
• The ability to record a poem clearly
• A mouth, presumably
