"Screeching Banshees...."

Drove me insane as the rain beating down on the windows.  Like a
drum beat warrior gone mad with their campaign.

The torrent upon the glassy surface formed horrifically ghastly
demonic and twisted perversities.  They threatened me with
doorways to my utter destruction's.  And unending tortures with no
known sense of peace nor boundaries.

Then the thunder crashed down through the trees outside.  And the window smashed forth and I was thrown back and aside.  The wind was howling through the great empty mansion that I had braved.  Whispering to my heart my soul is no longer safe.

For the banshees reign in the requiem of end.  Rotting the fabrics of my mind and a meretriciousness for unending sins.

"Screeching Banshees...."   P.2

As they dug deeper into the bowels of my tired mind.
I envisioned drowning in the deepest sea of turmoil.
With no one to save me this time.

The rains and wind blew upon the surface as the waves would crash
around.  They imprisoned me with my own mind internally
unable to escape their illusion and forever bound.

The roaring sound of Leviathan grazed beneath my ever
treading feet.  The depths of Cuthluian secrets just break at
the surface then retreat.

Then the water itself becomes crushingly gelatinous and inescapable.  To forever entomb me with in its vengeance.
I was its sacrifice and commensurable contingence.

The thickness of this ghastly terror within my mind weighted
me with a thousand horrifically fold.  Making me feel beyond tiresome and weary and my bones so brittle and cold.

Just as all was finally lost I snapped awake in bed.  Realizing the passing storm and night terror were faint fears passing in my head.

THE HILLS

As the lightning strikes
The hills loom in the distance
Are they watching?
Are they waiting?
Shadows eclipsed in night
I can hear the mourning presence
They are crying
Always dying
Again

Again

And again they linger
Restless spirits entombed within
Why can’t they see
That they can’t leave?
Forever bound to this Earth
Always waiting for their rebirth
But it is said
That they are dead
Always

Always

They always seek what is lost
Moaning in their black ichor
That’s how they bleed
That’s what they seek
A way to re-enter the living
But they can’t, they are dead
Bound to the hills
Where they were killed
Long ago

Meat for the Stones

Cobblestoned scales ripple over the serpent's skin serving as headstones of an antebellum past

I run to dodge the bombardment of hailstones camouflaged in charcoaled mist

The wind plays tag with me and catches its prey,
She pushes too hard
And I am sent careening across slickened stoic skin

A warm crimson trail starts at my nose and is diluted by the rain as it meanders through the crevices of each flake

I hear howls of laughter in the wind at my demise
Vibrating street signs chortle along
at the cruel joke that is me, fallen and drenched

I stand to see a few  hunkered in doorways as if to play hide and seek
They've lost in this folly too for they're lashed and taunted for not finding safer haven

Briny whispers breach the sea walls and waft o'er head
I can taste the salt now mixed with the blood  in my mouth

The sky is kindled and all is  illuminated for a nano second
An accompanying baritone roar staggers me

I knock pitifully at a stranger's door
My doleful eyes and reddened spout the cost of admission

An Evening with Nature

http://static.freepik.com/free-photo/stormy-night_2168477.jpg

Beneath the dark sky
Here solitary I sit
Alone, in a shack
Long forgotten
Lost in the jungle
Within the eye of a storm

A roar a crash
Thunder booms
Lightning strikes
The velvet sky is ripped
By bright silver rods
The orchestra of nature

The screaming winds
Among the branches
Of swaying trees
In frenzied dance
With enraged screams
Breaking ripping branches

Beyond the hill
The wild dogs howl
In fear and anger
At the storm
The wild cats yowl
The primates scream

The roars and shrieks
Of the hurricane
Spearing the earth
With its grim strength
Uproot all that’s near
Deep screams thunders as it flew

When nature settle on its peace
cuddle weariness in slumber
Stand I in weakness trembling
Awe and wonder at nature’s tranquillity
The night I spent is daylight now
Rest the world in gentle grace again

Lonely shack hidden
by broken twigs
In farewell stare
as I walk away.

Storms of old

With the roll of thunder
the lightning came
black skies light up asunder
beating down the ice cold rain
high winds that feed it's hunger

Lashing waves of rivers run
cascading down the walls
all life does flee the roaring guns
of the krakens thunderous squall

skies explode with bolts of light
that dance in wicked style
gods of old in for the fight
clash wildly in the skies exile

The Stars Hide

With every flash of light
the forked branches of the old oak
come alive to taunt the dark landscape
reach out further with pointed purpose

raindrops reflect in the sparks
as leaves let go and surrender to the fall
and the waterlogged land repels the downpour
the stars all hide in trepidation

calamity in each rumble
the thunder as sharp as Hades tongue
each ominous bang louder than the last

as the storm closes in
howling gusts lift and sweep
carry anything untethered away

and an eerie chaos hangs from the sky
there will be unrest this night

"Let my vengeance be fulfilled!"

http://www.iphonewallpaperzzz.com/iphonewallpapers/normal/hires/the-sea-witch-by-frank-frazetta.jpg

From the depths of the sea
emerged a supernatural creature,
condemned to eternity for loving a pirate,
a scoundrel full of evil.
He caused her death on a tempestuous day,
pushing overboard with an anchor tied to her waist,
he consigned her to an abysmal tomb,
showing all his ill will and insuring her doom.

Before being lost forever under briny waters,
she cursed him for betraying her love,
for being so cruel and fiendish.
At the time of being thrown
into what would be her final resting place,
she wailed an appeal to the God of the sea;
"Master of the abyss, hear my plea,
do not let me perish before I take my revenge
for this  that has been  done."
"I will make a covenant with you;
I will pay any price, protect me in your breast
and be sure that I do not die."
Her body was still sinking,
her breath she could not hold.
When she began to swallow water she knew
her life had come to an end.
Her lungs filled with water completely,
her eyes open had the look of the dead.
As her body lay at the bottom, dark turbulence
hid her and suddenly her body disappeared.

The pirate thought he had gotten out of his problem,
ignoring the curse he had heard from the maiden.
His men watched the captain with trepidation
caused by what had elapsed;
sailors are very superstitious.
In soft murmurs they speak
of the event that a disaster prophesize.
Years passed and some forgot the actions
which that day did not take. They grumbled that,
"The black Princess” is cursed because
the mysterious deaths of its sailors.
Captain little importance made of superstitions
and oldwives tales the sailors had.
He sailed from port not remembering that
it was the eve of the anniversary of that fatal day.
Offshore and all very calm, the dark night became;
Two minutes to midnight
a terrible storm upon them descended...
A prayer was raised to the protector Saint
of all sailors; they did not want this storm
to mark the end of their destination.
A lookout through the tempest spotted
something that filled him with horror.
He Saw a figure walking on water
and slowly towards them approaching.
The Approach established that this body
covered with barnacles, algae, coral and mussels
was, with barely distinguishable features a girl.
When in the end he recognized it, his blood froze
and he could not believe what he was seeing;
the dead girl had returned to take revenge on them.
With a voice of the grave she ranted:
"tonight I will share the death your captain for plotted me".
She lifted her arms towards the sky and shouted:
“let my revenge be fulfilled!"
The more turbulent sea churned,
destroying the ship and all who were on board.
Once the ship disappeared, the sea he calmed,
as if it had never been in turbulence.
That night the sea claimed 90 lives,
along with their captain,
to all a watery deadly night…
