Life
It can be simple
and in that-
beautiful,
true.
The Lord told me so...
A pale blue grey sky,
snow seagulls flying, their white wings
deeply quieting to my
over-striving
ever-searching soul,
2 crab ships roaring engines
small waves and ripples.
It's not meant to be a struggle.
Peace exists here, where I still myself.
The bay, as if caught by surprise
in a private moment
gladdened by my presence but wondering
why I've come.
Sand wet and cold.
It can be
simple.
And in that- beautiful,
true.
I was told...
and in that-
beautiful,
true.
The Lord told me so...

Tomorrow, it never comes
For it is always today
But the future will be realized
For it lives in each and every Pre-K
Only the now is forever
Yet no one knows how long the now will last
Because my most recent thought
Is the newest entry in the Book of Eric's Past
Because the life expectancy of the present
Is so much less than the duration of a single breath
Because by the time I am ready to exhale
Who knows how many instances have left
For a true concept of time
Is, perhaps, the vaguest mystery
Because within the blink of an eye
The future becomes history
And that is not meant to confuse
Or to cloud anyone's perception
But we all need to understand
That death begins at the moment of conception
And unless there is a rebirth
Life has no meaning within itself
Because only in the soul
Can a man truly acquire wealth
And wealth is derived from the Word
And the Word came from above
And time will never die
But it can be conquered by Love
And Love is the Word
You have to take It for what It's worth
And if you don't know Its value
Look in the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth

The greatest mystery of Life
From beginning throughout until the end
There are points along the line
That we all submit to sin
Just think about it....
We're supposed to give Him The Glory
But have you ever bragged a little to much
We are not supposed to lust
But have you ever longed for another's touch
We are not supposed to hate
But how do you feel about people who hurt the kids
We are not supposed to envy
But have you ever wanted to be like someone in showbiz
We are not supposed to lie
But have you ever withheld the truth
We are not supposed to judge
But have you ever found yourself looking for proof
We are supposed to Love our neighbor
But have you ever rejected someone as a friend
And wrath is reserved for God
But have you ever taken some measure of revenge
The Word Says we are not worthy
Thats's the truth no man can deny
It's the human factor that makes us imperfect
But because of Jesus...we still must Try.....

Look Around
Look around what do you see?
Disease, desolation and mass tragedies.
The world is in shambles, so many in deep
despair just trying to get a breath of fresh air...
Look around what do you see? Nothing but
sadness on the faces of most on the streets.
The ones that are smiling are putting on their
greatest show, trying to appear fresh and relaxed
and hope nobody knows.
Look around what do you see? People pretending
to love one another so endlessly...
When all the while it's nothing but a game, one
that causes many deaths and never ending pain...
Look around what do you see?

old poem, so maybe not eligible:
< normal spring day >
At the nursery i get a cactus.
To be truthful, i get two.
The cacti add up.
And the flowers are beautiful,
but I resist.
Thank goodness
as i'd just have to plant them.
"Or more likely buy them and not plant them",
say my yellow primroses from last year
madly blooming but still in their nursery pots.
I stop for a donut.
Two, to be truthful.
Well, to be closer to the truth.
Then i continue
with the new leaves
and birds and birds.
A tall tree i can't identify
seems to be steaming in the sun,
but is really
filling the air with cottony seeds.
My dog chases a dragon fly,
the first i've seen.

Sit in the sun and catch a ray
Hear the waves near an ocean bay
Watch, nurture, and educate the young
So they will march to the beat of their own drum
Do not let money and things be your goal
But watch now before old age begins to unfold
Feel your heartbeat
when love tickles you down to your feet
Help the underprivileged, the disabled, and the weak who's lives have gone ary
And remember there by the grace of God go I
Live as though there were no tomorrow
and treasure every happy moment you borrow
This life is temporary not everlasting
So recognize it for what it is and try not forecasting
If you can capture life as written
You will have a place in Heaven where all is forgiven
Whomever can capture life in general the best, wins.

Stop; look around…
The faces of death surround you..
But; do you really care…
Can you see past your own nose,
Even if for a brief moment…
Where did humanity go; when did
You stop caring; truly caring for others…
The one’s you hastily judge and disregard like
trash…
They need an unbiased mind and open ears to hear them…
Not persecute them into suicide…
Wake up before you find yourself in their shoe’s,
Wanting to rip them off and discard them in the nearest
Roadside ditch…
You won’t like where you stand and bare feet will make the
Pain far worse…
So look around at the faces of death…
Stop and ask are you okay, what can I do to help you…
The answer you get may be surprising…
Can you see past your nose, test yourself and find out…
You might just save a life…

life is just a game so do all u want
life is just a fruit that comes from a plant
it will be tasty if u know how to eat
if u cant its best that ur ass is on ur seat
friendship is a thing that u will never forget
keep ur friends in ur mind and u'll never regret
life is just a party so take ur guitar
play it loud and try to live like a star
try to give ur life all that u've got
try ur best
leave the rest
in the end forget the things that u cannot
life is just a party so go on and dance
it will take u to a stage of humour and romance
now u'll love ur life with a wife
never stop live ur life

life is just a garden with full of flowers
u jus gotta pick one with full of colors
life is like a song so take ur guitar
sing it out wild and live like a ROCKSTAR

My Interpretation
Life is one never ending story of survival
Since the beginning of time dates back to the bible
That's why we create religion and false idols
Something to instill our faith in to avoid being suicidal
Life doesn't play favorites so is it really unfair?
People struggling and suffering only a few of us care
One percent of the population are very unaware
So rich but they pay no mind to revolutionary warfare
Liars, swearers, gamblers, and thieves
All were conceived when the serpent tricked Eve
Sure blame it on her it's easier when we grieve
To blame others for our sins it helps us to breathe
Temporarily like our time here on earth
That's why it's sad when the youth underestimate its worth
Taken for granted their paths became slanted
Diamonds in the rough buried under hard granite
Only to be discovered when they're in wooden crates
It's never too late for a new clean slate
The strength to love eventually conquers all hate
Holding on to faith is cause to celebrate
Life in all its beauty even the visible flaws
Like us it isn't perfect but still it evolves
Simply because we are life we are human beings
If you choose death you're left with no feelings
