I hate it.
How you control me
Even now, we're done.
Gone.
Finished.
And yet you still
Have control
Of
My
Actions.
My words.
Short and sweet.
They never betray you
For you control me.
I hate it.
I'm finished.
I need to move on.
I've burned your crap,
Turned it to ashes
Dust.
Gone.
Yet you still control me
You make new friendships hard
Dating, harder.
You're gone.
I'm finished.
Time
To
Move
On
How you control me

I miss this
The dull click of keys being pressed.
The smell of ink on paper.
I miss the way You used to read.
The way the words would dance from Your lips.
We wrote together.
The most intimate of acts.
Exposing your inner thoughts
For another's judgement.
"It's good" You'd say
"Could be better though"
The love was what would drive me.
Your careful words would fly off the page.
I wanted to be like You.
Way back when, You see.
Here's the problem with that thought.
We're just too different, You...

I Try
I try so hard
To make you see
Who I am inside.
I try so hard

The rules I can't abide.
These past four years
Have been rough
What I've put you through.
What you don't know
Is how I feel
When I tell the truth.
I've given up.
You just won't see
A world where you can't be.
And even when I try so hard
So maybe you can see.
You'll never know how much it hurts
When you can't see me.

I havent posted
In a while

Superhero
My mom always told me
"You'll be a superhero
For a little kid one day."
I didn't believe
Something that cool
Was possible for me.
"Me? A superhero?
You're joking"
I said.
I didn't believe
Something that amazing
Was in my future.
But now I do.
I understand now.
What a superhero really is.
It's someone who
You look up to.
Who can make you
See the world
From a different perspective.
I was painting
Hacking away at a canvas
With my paintbrush.

Falling Snow
Peaceful
Is a word I'd use
For the drifting sight.
A snowfall
For the ages
That has everything in white.
I wake up from soft slumber
And crawl out of my bed
To see the little snowflakes
That dance around my head.
Simple and so beautiful
The first snow always seems
It's too bad my little neighbors
Stomp inside my snowy dream.
Is a word I'd use

The Park
My favorite memory
Is the first day we hung out.
I was nervous as all get out
And dressed up for the event.
We walked to a park
At your old school.
I'd remember.
I have the blisters to prove it.
You chased me through
A patch of trees.
If I remember correctly.
Once we got there
We screwed around.
Played truth.
Shared memories
Of who we once were.
And then there was the jungle gym.
You and I sat down.
I rubbed my aching feet and then
You turned me around. ...

If only I could undo
The day those words
Were carved into my ankle.
My mom wouldn't
Have had a reason
Not to trust me.
My ex and I
Might still be together
To have celebrated a year.
My dad might still

Without fear in his eyes
My sister might not

The blood dripping down
My skin.

The wet trail
Left by the unmistakeable look of
My tears.

Telling
