Changes
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're going through – David Bowie
The new generation has risen,
They are fighting for what’s rightfully theirs,
They are voicing their concern,
Calling for action and change,
And Greta has taken the lead.
Some in the world stage ridicule them,
But what they lack in experience and years
They make up in passion and persistence,
They will not be meek but speak up because
They will inherit the earth.
And Greta’s voice is being heard,
By governments and the establishment,
Yes, they should fear as the signs are clear,
The voice of the young generation is here,
Raising awareness pushing for change.
There is urgency and worry in her expression,
But she marches on knowing it’s a long fight,
And like her Viking ancestry she sails the seas,
Around the world representing the future.
