"When the spirit is calling", is a tribute to the indigenous people, but also a fightsong for their human rights. Jon Henrik Fjällgren has in this song been inspired by chanting, which is a common way of expressing one's feelings in the music of the natives. The text is written for both his origins in Colombia and with the Sami people in Sweden.
The musicvideo is filmed in Härjedalen, Sweden.

I didn’t know it was ever on Dutch TV. Were they really any good?
Hated the song and still do, specially the lyrics of course.
The bass riff is something else. I love it to bits.
This was broadcasted by the AVRO, General Association of Radio Broadcasting, translated.
Started in 1927 to allow the ‘right’ entertainment for people of all religions.
Having become as useful as wet toilet paper they stopped their business in 2015 or thereabouts.
If you play the clip, the AVRO sign is visible in the background. I like the recording. I think it’s live over a backing tape.
