Relaxed but professional: altogether had the signs of being done with love and affection by people who enjoy what they are part of. Long may this podcast ride the airwaves!

Thank you so much. I'm preparing my segment for the next installation and my colleagues are surely doing the same. It was fun and I'm thrilled to increase our understanding of each other and get people interested in the writers we're profiling in our interviews and other segments.

I did hear Eamonn's apology.
It's all great nonetheless and a fantastic venture that everyone can take part in. Kudos to all of you. Thank you and you're most welcome. I'm honoured to be one of the first in your Legends slot. Look forward to hearing your future podcasts. ![](/images/forum/smilies/grin.gif)
Lady, it was a joy to chat you. more than that I have a much better understanding of you and your poetry. you are a true legend, and I'm delighted it has come across to others who've listened
for those teetering on the edge of spoken let me say this: Anna Grin's spoken was her first ever. it is a world exclusive. she sounds fantastic *hat tip* Anna
. we'll be getting to know Anna in a lot more depth next episode, don't miss it
also. let me take this opportunity to thank Umm who put in a lot of work to bring legends from concept to reality *hat tip*
and to Daniel who was kinda put on the spot to join the team and in fairness done a stellar job of it *hat tip*
finally to missy who's grit and determination and sheer creativeness has taken the whole idea of the podcast into what we all hear
an absolute wonderful experience

Honestly... spoken word is easier than you think. If anybody would like to have a bash at reciting a poem, not only do we have The Loudspeaker Poetry group here on the DU [shameless plug] but reach out to any of us and we will 1000% help you with any hints, tips, advice. There is no right or wrong way. Just trial and error... because, poetry right?

Umm you are amazing and wouldn’t have got started if it wasn’t for your input. One of us! One of us!

*Missy bows* I’d like to thank you guys who literally took an idea I had waking up at 4 in the morning about a fkn podcast into reality. So maybe good things can come from pure anxiety after all.

I reiki’d myself before recording... maybe that’s the shiny shimmeryness you felt!
Glad you enjoyed it, and glad to have you listen in the future.

Love and affection - yes. A love for community and not wanting to see that die. Love for myself in pouring frustration into positivity. Love for poetry, and art, and beauty and all that entails.
There’s love all up in this shit.![](/images/forum/smilies/lol.gif)

Twas a joy chatting with your good self also Lep. Much enjoyed. I'm up for submitting my spoken word to a future podcast if you would like?
Missy, your creative flare knows no bounds and the energy that you put into that is inspiring.
Thank you Missy, Umm, Eamonn and Daniel. Keep on keeping on.
P.s
I was very audio shy and then I took a step and started experimenting with audio poetry, with the help and inspiration from Jesta, Missy and Case. Everyone should have a go.

I’ve been thinking about doing audio to some of my poems, but what kind of microphone would I need, Sky dancer recommended a program for making a YouTube version. But I’m not sure if my voice is suitable coming from Sean Connery country, but don’t have his golden lilt more a gruff Scottish garble without any finesse

Accents only give more quirk m’dear. I love the differences that make us unique. If I can understand Macleod’s Glaswegian, I can understand you
Any PC external microphone will give you a much better reading quality. However, I recently purchased the Neewer NW-700 which is a budget condenser mic (you can pick up for as little as £15 on Amazon!) and I CANNOT fault it. I did Daniel’s interview with it, so that’s how it sounds.
Definite result on a budget 👌🏻
Any further help required please ask any of us, or head on over to the Loudspeaker Poetry group for technical advice / feedback.
