Tribute to a Lyrical Muse

A lover of words
Inspired when young
Remarkable lyrics
Pervaded your tongue

Among the elite
An abundant conclusion
Unfailing as a muse
Your melodic illusion

Influence by your Dark Side
And more than The Final Cut
But Wish You Were Here
Felt forever in my gut

Animating my thoughts
When unable to express
All that I was sensing
Your music did possess

Woodstock Experienced

I put a sweet laced sugar cube under tongue
It disolves my mind into alternate versimilitude as i drop out
Tuning in amalgamating surges of urges
simper lipped pucker just for Wavy Gravy, my ol man....
Happy hip cats are getting down
Wit dey bad
Mama jammas
My hips have a naughty mind
Of their own
So they
Sway and swing my ass out
And up and down

and i writhe with the cool kittens
Mewing with my prrrrrrr

I see......whoa dude!
I see.....🌈🌈🌈
Music wild like colors
The Colors!!!
The Colors!!!

Ooooh. ....i can use my fingers to play colors like air guitar....

Faces twist into freakish masks
Merthful grins spread into banana shaped smooch mouths twirling out
Words...

    "But Are You Experienced?
  Have you ever been experienced?
Not necessarily stoned, but beautiful"

Crowd of youth fueled flower power rebellion gathered
Peaceful and lovers fest
Nude "all the young dudes"
Roll in mud and flowers
As freedom twists my body in unruly
Riotous grind wind exault
Wound up by paean interpretari

Dig this groovy sound
Remember what the doormouse said:
Grace Slick makes me want Gravy's tongue on my slick....
Feed your head....

Then rips....
Guitar licks by mad minstrel
Wears wild fro
And army jacket
Hendrix fingers strings
making music moan speak more
Wailing volumes
Louder than the thunder of War

"O O say can you see"

Crowd roars in ironic reverie
Woolgathering while climbing higher
Together ....unity
High, I trip
High by "Lucy in the sky with Diamonds. Lucy in the sky with diamonds. Lucy in the sky with diamonds. Auhhhhhhhhh."

I Squint through kaleidascope eyes
And see dragons get down
Leapin lizzards!

See gnomes pickpocketing
(The lil ornery scamps!)
Taking dough for floppy hats
(The buggery lil rats!)

See
What could be
Mermaids swimming around
This Happy Hippie
sea

Delerious and dropped out
A freedom beatitude
Sing out peace
Barefeet meets Earth
And toes sink in....

Now we have the time of our lives
Toss me a peace sign my darlin
Wavy Gravy

I catch it and
let it fly ✌

All the young Dudes....David Bowie
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds...John Lennon
Have you ever been experienced ...
Jimmey Hendrix
Feed your head....Jefferson Airplane

Calamity a go go

Devils beat a go go
Body move
To junkie poet twist philosopher
A Disco funk mystery man
Hip roll groove

Oh my soul to taste a bit more
Of my young girl
Rock n Roll

I slide to dance floor
No care in this world
Gin lipped and mind flicked
To off and grind

Man stuck to my behind
Hang on all the young dudes!
Gonna be a bumble bee ride
That sweet Melon sunk out

Oh but what a big shout his guitar made me woman
To disco Lemonade
Sex and Candy Marcy's
Big grenade

Peace at 4 AM I cried
Reverie by mad hatter rap
Picked me up by 7 Ms
Maniacal grin fast selling crazy sin

Ah! they did move me to many
Nights looong good fuck
My 20s music
Taste it again?
With luck

In high pitched wail
Harmonica flow
I heard Promise of a man
And wept

*Crown* Re to RTJ

Hand me your crown
Pass me it down
lend me what’s your’s and I’ll pay you with pounds
Purchase the throne with reverb and effects that we create and gave it all back to the crowd
steal from the rich
give back to me
lend me your shoulder and your ears of apathy
Show me the ways of the righteous
Hold up your flame to ignite us
burn away misery, frozen in mystery
give me everything that you can give to me
Make it worthwhile, the use of money never was versatile
Spend it on objects from foreign lands and fancy textiles
Charge them the best price and keep the world buying
advertisements continue the lying
Selling you everything that is irrelevant
Sell it to anyone you think you’re better than
Give them a world of technology
Ignore how it’s bothering the ordering of the following
Sanity is rapidly vanishing damaging the planet
Imagining life with no empathy for it’s own only for the battery
Worry no more, I’ll take the lead
Bury it in another man’s head
Send them away from here to a new place
promise they’ll never mislead you again
They become dead, I become death
You play with our air, we’ll take your breath
Remove the fallacy in all you’re imagining
replace the characters with people instead
Watch each person you just created make their way up from the degraded
onto the A-list, the top of the pyramid
Amidst the noise and drama
cleanse the big cats with accurate karma
send them to places they’ve never been to and getting back’s only made harder
the harder they try
The harder it is to reply
Send them a message to not mess with the village
we stand strong alone with the tribe
Rip the whole system apart from inside
Generalise, lead an army of stereotypes you pushed to one side
But didn’t disarm them of fight
Couldn’t disarm them of life
it’s written on parchment, the deal has been sparked, and signed in my blood on the line

Dear Taylor

I thought that I would be swift
And quick about this, but I cannot.
I hope you know that you are a gift
To this world. Taylor, I have fought
To become that girl and woman you
Write songs about. Fearless and never
Giving up. The crying ones on floors who
Are still able to stand up and pull the lever
When they need to. They want to have your
Strength and courage. Sometimes they need
It more than anything else. They hear the roar
And rumble of your words. You always lead
Us to higher ground, some holy ground and
Sacred space. When everything goes bad
Taylor, it is like you are holding our hand
Through it all. Every heartbreak and sad
Story. Every sense of faith and hope.
You keep us hanging onto that rope.

COLD BLUE SNOW

Purple rain turns to blue snow in the cold
When the Soda troubadour walked out the door
Please God return our music genius back to us
So we can sing in violet spring showers once more

My Exercise in Self-Indulgence

How do I even begin to describe?
Sheer virtuosity and genius without limits,
Compositions like no one has written before,
Both in music and in lyrics.

The power trio has taken me on many journeys,
From a dystopian future to mad immortality,
Even questioning the question of Freewill,
Challenging my mentality.

And the way Alex riffs and shreds on the guitar,
Oh the reverberations that this man can make,
His musicianship is an unparalleled talent,
A sound no else can match or break.

Geddy has double and sometimes even triple duty,
On vocals, on keyboards and specially on bass,
His ability to execute it all so perfectly,
The way he plays with grace.

And Neil’s complex drum arrangements and rhythms,
Have astonished and astounded me for many years,
The lyrics and writings by the Ghost Rider,
Have brought grown men to tears.

Each song has a special significance and meaning
By the way they are structured and played,
The way the words can carry a message,
The way the chords persuade.

Each album has been an epic voyage of sight and sound,
Stories told in the most unique and exclusive ways,
But us Rush fans are an eccentric kind of bunch,
We can never give enough praise.

The Death of Mister Strummer

It was a fucking bummer when we lost him,
his fucking riffs stoked the imagination of millions of my brethren.
He rocked the Casbah like an earthquake from hell.
He spoke to us,
gave us rockers a direct connection
from his full heart to ours,
street urchins toughing it out on mad city streets,
our mohawks sported in bright pink,
with coppers stealing the show.
We sold our souls,
melted in his energy
which was God given,
the angels loved him.
When he spoke about the Forbidden City
we knew where he was coming from,
so did Moses
and the Coma Girl I met in Leeds
the summer I returned from India.
I fucking miss her, too.
When London called,
he answered the bell.
I know he's in heaven, he was a good Joe.

The Power of Blues

No matter how bad or why it was,
I wanted it to be me, because
He'd wail, missin' a woman so bad
And with the grind of his axe he had,

If only he could've felt the blues
I'd be the only one he would choose,
That no one would ever take my place
Only he'd see the love on my face.

Cause any how, the Irish in him
Would drink to my hair and shapely limbs,
Downin' a pint, a second, a third,
Take me to the next level I heard.

Missin' & driftin', tossed curly locks
He's holdin' out his hand as he rocks,
The bass risin' deep to meet his axe,
His voice screamin' loud in blues climax.

If it'd been me to give him my soul,
But couldn't save him for all I know.
Yet when the clock of life would chime when,
The power of blues would raise him then.
