Poet Introduction
Poetry is where my internal rebel speaks, where the monochrome is colored, where lovers are made into goddesses. It's taken years of self-doubt to finally let my poetry burn a mark on other writer's hearts.

Lori Beaty is a spirited writer, artist, and photographer who is passionate about exploring the depths of the creative soul. She is gifted at furtively slipping underneath the mind’s protective radar to unearth the juiciness of emotions and lay bare the real heart of a matter. Empowering women and restoring the balance of feminine essence to the planet are the bedrock of her life’s work.
Lori began writing poetry at a young age. When she was only twelve, a poem she wrote about Elvis was read on a Denver radio channel to thousands of listeners. She was sure that Elvis himself heard the lyric because she received an Elvis t-shirt in the mail from an anonymous sender.
Her career in the creative arts spans over 35 years and thankfully, she has not squandered that expensive behavioral psychology degree in that she trains animals, of all kinds, for fun and funds. She splashes paint on a canvas for meditation, uses plant medicine to traverse dimensions, and treks into the Rocky Mountain wilderness for general health and well-being. For Lori, happiness is allowing the beauty that exists in all things to arouse her senses and bring her to tears, all in the same breath. Cultivating those moments and stringing them together like a fine pearl necklace is what makes her life joyous.
