Bedroom Boom Gates
Her arms, like fleshy boom gates, drop on either side of her naked body.
Her intention quite clear.
"You're not welcome here"
I accept my rejection with good grace
won't go looking at another parking place
for my slightly damaged ageing vehicle.
I doubt the gates will be removed
or even lifted anytime soon
and so I remind her.
"Boom gates serve to control who comes in,not to leave your parking lot empty."
I wait patiently on my half of the bed,an abandoned vehicle left on the side of a...

There wasn't any major cause
just two lost souls
heading in different directions
You owed it to yourself
to find "your" happy
and the easiest way to know
was to extricate yourself
from the internal confusion
I was the sacrifice
and it certainly hurt like hell
being of the mind that I was in this with you
for the long haul
But connections have no guarantees
and I became slowly redacted from your history
