Boris
Basketball player extraordinnaire
With the most uncontrollable hair
Became a zip wire butterfly
With a flag on each wing
Was a relief he didn't sing
phwa! phwa! phwa!
It was soon to be unfurled
His curious fascination with Peppa Pig World
A hobby of making buses, out of old wooden crates
And a handshake with a diplomat for nearly two minutes
The look on her face, it seemed like it was infinite
Phwa! phwa! phwa!
A Japanese kid challenged Boris in a Rugby game
Boris charged through him, left the kid nearly lame ...

Song of Joy
The organ blasts such great big wind-blown notes
out into the the Sabbath's morning air
bringing a lump to lazy laggards throats
disturbing our Sunday slumbers there.
I can hear a bass-baritone voice, voice
words of joy ''... help the weak and curb the strong...'
'tis such a huge thundering hopefilled noise
to a rapidly gathering throng.
Then all the bells of all the steeples ring
out in ringing appeals in this refrain,
''... build the road of peace before us...'' and sing
your songs of joy in peace, again.

broken roads
BROKEN ROADS
The matrix of lies
may yet be real
There maybe a King
in waiting
or yet another betrayal
The few that demand
always seem to win
they lost their souls
to gain the whole world
long ago
We wait for the smell of decay
on the airwaves and the streets
the gossip of news
keeps the kindling burning
Which one has any truth
in this plan of deception?
The famous and the unseen
now allies in the destruction
The prophets keep saying
not to give up...

Don't Blame Cheetos
From the arms of one's hypochondria
hyperventilating strange little emotes
playing shotgun with hope on a rope
a sound of a wooden pencil breaking
dark's pneumonia locked in a closet
googling one thing and it says another
watching a rainbow sink in a puddle
drowning when you could have had a V8
cheating at solitaire in your blame game
eating Cheetos staining fingers orange
they aren't your puffy nicotine cigarette

The Evolution of Mankind
The next evolution of mankind,
to find our meaning within ourselves and not in nations or flags,
not in sacramental ideals nailed to the walls of another's creed,
not in the pigmentation of our hair, blood or skin.
When will mankind grow up
and stop leaning on the crutches of governments, religion, or greed.
When will we cast off the yoke of our need to be told what to believe.
When will we be free?
to find our meaning within ourselves and not in nations or flags,
not in sacramental ideals nailed to the walls of another's creed,
not in the pigmentation of our hair, blood or skin.
When will mankind grow up

The State of the World in a Nutshell
the whole world's on fire
but who'll bring the marshmallows?
social media sets the stage
for pointless debates
taking stances on things
that don't concern us
we're all part of a gang
ride or die for a broken system
as if that benefits us
we let little girls
look up to famous whores
all while never teaching them
to stand up for their own rights
and little boys can't see passed
their own ego
everyone tells them how special they are
nurturing their toxicity
mothers and fathers are failures
yet they take...

Azazel, once cloaked in fiery might,
Now roamed the earth as a renowned star of the night,
A charismatic actor with charm so bright,
He drew in the masses with his celestial light.
Beside him, Moloch, a CEO of great renown,

Where did all the Salt Shakers go
or fiddlesticks made of wood
Encyclopedias are covered with dust
and bicycles put to sleep
What happened to school prayer
and the Pledge of Allegiance
Bottlecaps are becoming obsolete
