Oppressed
Imagine
Being in whatever your favourite place is
Living in constant fear
That a bomb
May land on you
At any given moment
Night, or day
Day in, day out
Week in, week out
Whilst the entire infrastructure
Of where you live
Is gradually, and brutally
Eradicated
Little, or no food, or water
No medicines, for your son, or daughter
As the country you were born in
Becomes a wasteland
As clouds of oppression
Rains down on you daily
Where countries that could help you
Don't
As they have a vested...

Starving Palestinians

Transferred onto neutral ships

Resist!
I raise my pudgy fist,
pounding on the bars of my crib.
The lie "to keep me safe",
a prisoner in this gilded cage.
Resist!
Freedom from the crib!
Down with the parentracy!
Toddlers unite!
It is time to strike,
throwing my cereal to the floor
That was fun as I do it again.
You should see the panic in your eyes
as my cheeks puff out and face turns red,
ready to cry to the world
the injustice of nappy time
pounding on the bars of my crib.

If you had a dagger would you
slather it with poison and poke it in?
I'm just a piece of the frame work in the portrait
that you're painting

Rock-cut bust
that you claim once held a curse

is now the lock on our invisible cage

In a world where innocence once thrived,
A story of darkness, no longer denied,
She was only nine, a tender age,
A predator's touch, a harrowing stage.
Unwanted caresses, in forbidden places,
A violation that left lifelong traces,
Her strength grew as years passed by,
A quiet resolve, a will to defy.
And when she came of age, strong and bold,
She wielded her knowledge, her secret untold,
With a blade in hand, she took a stand,
A final act of justice, a silenced demand.
