Anticipating the taunt
Of a spellbound fate was
Like irony for some
Vicarious shame,
Bringing loneliness
To those of whom
Have beckoned, trekked,
Waited for poetic justice in the
Retribution of intrusive
Marketing that shrouds, hides.
Masterful callousness,
Pretending to never feel,
Mocked and laughed at
The innocent wonder
Of familiar reminiscence,
Like insisting favor
Was sensual, assuming an
Embarrassing tease,
Reinforcing the numb veracity
Of what carnality was worth. ...

U-2- Not the band.
The temper of the world is crisis.
Contained,through crisis,
grinding missiles like paper mache.
A raging fire blooms,in plain view.
Should we be frightened?
One man. One plane. National outrage.
The U-2, Not the band,incident.
Is history repeating itself?

Discontent
Knots of pain
Ingrained
Within the hollowed
Hallowed wood
The trunk shrunk
Rings of time
Sublimely stood
Ill gotten years
Forgotten tears
Dead roots
Emerald glories
Long gone
As the swansong
Drifts off
Into the misty cobwebbed dawn
Whilst sisterly sister trees
Await the ravenous jaws
Of shivering blades
That roar with rage
Roots
Hold tight
Onto mother earth
From whence
Their sapling birth
First grew
They no longer grow
Just groan
All knotty, and gnarled ...

Progress?
It's a funny thing
That colour of skin
Didn't become a definition
Until the 16th/17th century
And that a few thousand years ago
Neither did gender
And here we are
In a so called advanced society
That separates
And divides us all
Into little boxes
Cliched
I witnessed, and also received abuse
But glad i was neither
Black, brown, ginger,overweight
And especially not female
As i knew that the abuse i endured
Would of been worse
Although having my head kicked
Punched, beaten with snooker balls within a...

ghost ships
Your safety net
has come so horribly
undone
you're drowning
in the waves
of fear
you left behind
thinking the net
would always be.
Safety
is an illusive worry.
Tighten your muscles
and stiffen your neck
Lock up the doors.
Abandon this
ship.

sometimes
i see you as pharoah’s daughter
down by the river of bulrushes
as she comes across
something amazing:
an abandoned baby
a newly birthed poem
floating like a
golden bauble
in the stream
how then can
she turn away
without a comment
as though she cannot see
a parting of waters
a burning bush
and a glimpse
of a strange land
so many years ahead
flowing with milk
with honey
to have seen
the babe in helpless
desperation
and to walk...

A Turtle named Yertle
There was a turtle named Yertle--a clever fellow.
He lived in a marsh where the wind was mellow.
One warm day, to his own surprise,
he found his mind could see so much further than his eyes.
'Oh such lands that I could own! If only the sight of such I was shown!'
'If only a stone could become like a throne, so much more land on my stand I could own!'
On this warm day, with such an ambition, the little turtle climbed to a higher position.
On the top of a stone, oh what sights he could see!
Taller than all turtles--so...

A Massacre
Someones murdering nature again
Cutting down habitats
And sources
For insects, butterflies, and bees
Just so they can
Make everything
Look neat, and tidy, and controlled
To make it look nice, and pretty
Whilst destroying
The natural beauty
Muting the birdsong
As feathered friends
Go into mourning
The only sound
Is of man, and machine
Now the beautiful wildflowers
Lay decapitated
Hung, drawn, and quartered
The only nature left
Will be the pretty little flowers
Marching like soldiers
In rows...

Mental Illness and Homelessness
There are things that we all may
not understand. Those that are
suffering from homelessness, are
the mentally ill, runaways, victims
of domestic violence, and so forth.
But yet, we choose to ignore these
individuals! Society is a very tough
place to live with, when you're down.
The buildings that are being built are
basically luxury rental, only to keep
the poor and low income cut out
of the picture. We have so much crime
in major cities, that it causes people to
move out and not wanting to return to

Decan'twaiter
My creativity is a blinding light in the Play-Doh cave allegory I’m living. The monkeys still haven’t figured it out, stare droll at the wall, all of their lives spent drooling, too difficult to wipe it away.
My advices poke at dense fat, undergrowth, I can believe it’s not butter. So hollow a gong beat do my words fall at my feet. There’s nothing like familiarity to strike a razor harp, over kneaded and undervalued.
A sweater to stifle the sweeter alternative, stylized standoffs represent sorrow. Self-loathing will do that to you. Rip your wings off and scream that you...

Sheepish
If animals could talk
What would they say to us?
"What the fuck
Are you doing to this planet
Are you mad?
Do you really care?
Why are you so brutal?
And cruel
Why do some of you kill?
Just for the fun of it?"
The sheep then stops talking
And baaaaaaaa's

re-reading Hemingway
The re-read (poet)
Hemingway was a writer suffering from a disabling inhibition,
the conversation he had with women in his books are based
on wishes and not reality.
Women in his life were stronger than him, he tried
to compensate by bawdy behaviour, it always ended with him
stroking the cat and she going back to the USA.
