SNAP TO. And so his eyes opened like a shock,
Like a firebrand, and they were cat eyes in the dark.
They were cat's eyes, shiny and sharp.
So into them
The stars did fall
One by one,
Tumbling through the window.
Every night, the stars
Went sliding,
Their fine, wet little points along,
Humming like tiny radiators
Of slippery stars,
Spilling over the boy as a saraband does, but jagged and molten,
Slow and almost Spanishly,
Beating rhythmic time in triplicate fantasia…
“Wakey,...

the listerine strip on the tip of my tongue had a picture: earthworms
To think that flaked pieces are left behind,
back away from the porous cliff
and deny that it looks like mine
own skin. We street in the afterglow
of a burst water-tower, a sky flow still
drip-drips extending my shirtsleeve.
All I want to do is faceplant into the sponge
and be startled as from a falling dream
by the wormstars appearing after a drowning.
More specifically, there is a clearing
overhead and the underhandedness of it
is trillsqueezing out grubby life.
Gravity sluices at...

So it was like this:
He passed and she didn't see him!
It was so:
She did not see.
He passed.
The cars stopped
for him to pass
and she did not see.
He has a name
that she didn't hear.
So it was like this:
She didn't see his eyes,
lost when he passed
and he, not knowing
whether he was seen,
passed on.
They passed each other.
They didn't see each other.
Perhaps his voice in the wind.
maybe her scent
in the brief moment she passes
by him and he does not see.
So it was...

Thoth
Scroll of stars unfolds,
wisdom flows through measured time.
Eye records it all.
Gilgamesh
Walls rise to the sky,
friendship forged, yet doomed to fade.
Mortals seek their name.
Tupă
Thunder splits the night,
roaring whispers through the storm.
Creation takes breath.
Amaterazu
Hidden in her cave,
sunlight fades, the world grows cold.
Hope draws her to dance.
Shango
Drums thunder the sky,
lightning splits the heavens wide. ...
