LAUGHING AT MYSELF
ME!
Every day I pause
to visit my comedy club
where I laugh at myself
out of honest reflection.
There are a lot of things
I laugh at, mostly the
dumb things I say and
the things I forget to say.
My favorite laugh comes
when I forget where
I left my keys or not
realizing I didn't set my alarm.
Then there's telling
the same person the same
story over and over not
seeing their boredom.
I don't think I'll share
the sexual laughs I
have at myself, it'll
be a tell-all...

Mirror, Mirror What Mistress Is Distracting Him
your calculated mirror of my soul
shatter my illusions of us
in my dappled shadows, I cry
bleeding my pain
you watch on in a detached kind of way
I could tell by the look in your eyes you were disconnected
you didn't feel any of it
and I wondered when it happened
you stopped feeling me
I feel so ineffectual
late-night caresses turned into something cold
a thousand mistresses to sway
my touch no longer moved you
you long for something exotic
and I was no longer new
but I knew I could blow your mind if...

THE CRASH
I truly do not want to be one to sit around and complain
but stress it seems to sometimes never seems to end
I'm always praying for the blessing of any of my miracles
yet they never ever seem just around the next bend.
Some days I feel as that I am getting much better
and others I feel as if I am losing and drowning again
for when waves feel like they're crashing all around
I wish I would have learned better how to swim.
My emotions are like the ever churning ocean
for I am only the co-captain of this my life's ship
and I have yet...
but stress it seems to sometimes never seems to end

Where dark lies
Where dark lies
I have gone so far
down at times that
despair has become
my focus and death
has looked like
paradise.
Why am I still
here? Because
I stared death
in its face and
met the challenge
it represented.
Knowing myself
was the challenge
and I realised in
the mirror was
myself looking back.
Overcoming me took
me to realise that
stopping me from
jumping into an
abyss only took
me.

I am walking through the forest back to my castle, since it’s such a beautiful day
My time trapped in that mirror, I would say, time never moved
I had to summon the storms, the mist of the fog, and my surrounding elements from the bed of earth as my voice softly soothed
Girl, the Sorceress’ Council sent out a search party for you however, without ado
We looked until darkness fell
Some of the members tossed gold coins to find you in the wishing well

The Pensive Moon
The tall trees cast their long shadows
The fading sun,escapes the deep furrows
And the flocking birds regain fluffy homes
To leave the poet in a silent world, roam
Dark blue sky tells the landing night
The glimmering stars make a fainting sight
A pale face from the deep blue shall daze
Behind olden mountains, tall and wise
Into the blue goes the moon:Fluent rise
Sailing into darkness of the milky haze
And when in still, i behold the scene
A snap of the past, will pass unseen :
Had i seen the moon...
