con-verse-ly complex
the waves of these waters cresting white
caught in the beauty of rising tide
cascade
we are more than our nocturnal wandering
more than our creaking bones
more than the blood singing through our veins
we are ancient new-borns
eyes barely open on a new day
new dawn
& we wander these moonlit paths
beasts seeking sanctuary
succor & tranquility
with thunder rumbling through our souls
lightning flaring from hungry tongues
calling through rivers & streams
kindred spirit beckoning home ...
caught in the beauty of rising tide

take away even my memory
your cruel designs of lobotomy
can win you toxic nuclear wars
but yes there I am here again.. still
throbbing as a steely butterfly heart
with lousily stitched up a punctured
ruptured mind.. unable to comprehend
or feel anything even..
but yet this hearted up beat.. it’s frictional
heat has already marathonically lighted up
this eternal soul .. that feel knows the pain

La La Land
La La Land
I am in La La Land and I do not care.
Here in La La Land everything is fair.
I do not worry 'bout no money.
I do not need a car.
Here in La La Land nothing is very far.
I met a man here too.
Said he has been here for years.
He is a lookin' for you.
So we have been here waitin',
sometimes lookin' around
but so fare you are nowhere to be found.
You should come here though,
place is really nice.
Weird how it's operated by a couple'a mice.
Housin's a good deal.

She Rose in Power
I swear I died one day.
Not in a grave, not in the flesh,
But something in me left.
Like my spirit packed its bags and said,
"I can't live here no more."
Three years before the world shut down,
I was already a ghost in my own life,
Trapped in a body that ain’t feel like mine.
Seventeen years deep with love that outgrew me.
Since 11th grade, I called it home—
But home ain’t supposed to suffocate you.
One morning, I woke up,
And the love that held me together?
It felt like chains.
So I let it go. Had to.

I’ve always marveled at woman in art,
myself, I like poetry, staying up all night,
arguing with someone, anyone,
about which poet is overrated.
I love to watch as she makes pottery,
paints, plays the piano, sings a song—
women giving into their creative art,
giving them access to their more feminine side.
Could that be what they call a man’s feminine side?
It’s his creative art, hands in motion,
his heart pouring onto a canvas or simply just molding clay.
