Uncontained
I am uncontained
Soul leaking out through the cracks
Those cracks that are supposed to let the light in
And they do, so lovely at first -
But then it burns
Burns holes in my self-control
Illuminates the shady-shamey corners
….it should feel like freedom….
But instead it is an agonizing nakedness
Laid bare against my will
Sobbing, surrounded by strangers
Uncontained
Bits of me and bits of crazy
(I can’t tell which is which)
Pouring down my face
Splashing messy...

One night dying of
Broken Heart
So I did something crazy
I drank deer's blood
It gave me superpowers
Like strength, speed,

ability to enter dreams

make women happy

Sixes and Sevens
This was the year they should have been walking across stage
Caps and gowns with smiles and cheers all around
This was supposed to be the year they were going to graduate
Instead
We still reel over what happened on that dreadful day
This was the summer they were supposed to spread their wings
Off to adventures, like falling in love or going away on vacation
Some would have been heading to college for higher education
Instead
We’re left wondering with what could have been
No parent should ever have to bury a child ...
