I just need to vent a minute,
Explain imposter syndrome I exhibit,
Afraid you'll see what I truly am,
An inexperienced, scared, li'l lamb.
I'm sorry to all the people I've hurt,
I've treated you like dirt,
I talked to you, then let you go
Without a word to let you know,
What I'm doing,
How we're doing,
How much I secretly still care,
That I miss you being there,
I've got a blockage to laying bare

The Filament
There was this invisible thread
I know that’s so cliché really
But there it was, only perceivable in the right light
For me it was moonlight
For her it was sunlight
But oh how it shone
So bright everyone could see
Could see us, us together, us happy, us bonded and bound to one another

Daydreams of Daydreams
She sat there in her golden chair,
Her long, wavy, golden hair,
Draped over a cream and gold, crepe and silk gown,
The loveliest woman in town,

Her square neckline accentuated her necklace of gold,
Her virago sleeves, with patterns of old,
And her wide skirt, draped over delicate, resting legs,
A languishing heart, in life's dregs,
Longing for a better life,
One without strife,
One where she's the wife,
Of an older, faery king,
Where she can be free to dance and sing.

I don't want to be a burden to you

I wish I could silence my shadows

I saw you out of the corner of my eye
I barely noticed you at first,
My god, you really look different around your friends
I could tell you hadn't seen me yet
Your smile was undeniably bright

And your laugh sounded gregarious as ever

Him...
It was him. After all this time. After months of enduring pain. He just shows up. For what? Why? Should I blame him? Blame him for the pain that I have. It was always just the two of us. Us against the world. But then he just casts me aside like I’m nothing, just a waste of space. So why, why is he here? I want to scream and yell at him for everything he’s done.
