He bought two goldfish from a vendor on King Street, and then he headed for the taxi stand on West Street. When he reached the taxi stand, he saw a large group of people including schoolchildren standing there waiting for Maxfield taxis. At that moment, no taxi was there loading. He thought to himself that he would not get the chance to get on a taxi because the crowd would rush into any taxi that arrived there. One fish, Two Fish - NaPoWriMo 10
Inside me are
one fish, two fish
at the least,
The dreamiest goldfish
daydreaming away
into obliviousness
you have ever known
so out of touch
they forget the previous moment
in favour of naive fondness
eager to look on the positive
and the golden lining.
And a surprise Shark
snarling and snapping away
in sudden savage attack
with a grinning quip
of deepest blue
to flush blood into the water
and a sharp erect fin
that will hardly finish anytime soon,
slapping some colour into...

There is Transformation in Death
For some species on earth,
there is transformation in death, a renaissance
if you will, becoming young all over again, whether you
see it as reincarnation or rebirth, a new life begins. There is

A man once said one's best thoughts seem as if they come on at night,
and while I'm no expert, evidence suggests I thought this might be one -- it isn't, and wasn't, but I couldn't turn it down -
My parenting style is somewhat a swan,
savaged by a pike,
thrashing on the surface, unwinding underneath,
[I am unsure if pike take on swans
(Upon further inspection,
due to the reflections made in brackets here,
a swan has indeed been savaged by a pike
though they prefer cygnets,
as do turtles,
so too crows)
but...
and while I'm no expert, evidence suggests I thought this might be one -- it isn't, and wasn't, but I couldn't turn it down -

patiently reeling, with hat adorned
fishes that odd, old fellow
from the reserve....

determined by my gear

unconquered nibbles mourned
