Fall Poems | Autumn Poems
#fall
Fall poems, poetry about autumn or fall, the season marking the transition from summer to winter. Nature poems about fall, when the leaves fall from the trees.
Mornings like these
My heart longs for peace
Craving solitude with every beat
I felt the breeze cling to me
The fire burned
Warming my hands
The warm coffee on my tongue
Mornings like these
Where I hear the trees
I sometimes remember my dreams
Craving solitude with every beat
I felt the breeze cling to me
The fire burned
Warming my hands
The warm coffee on my tongue
Mornings like these
Where I hear the trees
I sometimes remember my dreams

Wine in the mountains
The bittersweet taste on my tongue
I continue on
Drinking my glass
As I bask
In the sunlight
The sun hits the mountain tips
A whole new kind of bliss
While my heart belongs to the sea
This is also quite pretty
I walked
And saw the evergreen trees
And aspen leaves
Yellow and green
What a dream
I continue on
Drinking my glass
As I bask
In the sunlight
The sun hits the mountain tips
A whole new kind of bliss
While my heart belongs to the sea
This is also quite pretty
I walked
And saw the evergreen trees
And aspen leaves
Yellow and green
What a dream

Roam
Beneath the fractures and fissures of my heart's truth
Preserved in my earth are the fossils of you.
From the age when you roamed me.
To a blissful echo of groans and screams.
Do we ever truly understand
the hearts archeology?
Requires belief in things you cannot see.
Buried marrow deep inside of me.
From the age when you roamed free.
Now I roam an earth on fire with
red, orange & yellow trees.
Candy apple red, burgundy and blood that beats.
Lemon yellow, rust and tangerine.
My eyes with a secret gleam. ...

Ease of Autumn
In Hills where the mist meets the gold of the trees
Lived a Bavarian lord, with a heart set at ease
The chill of the autumn had kissed the bright land
And the fruits of the season were ripe by his hand
His manor stood high, with its windows aglow
Scent of the harvest crept soft through the snow
The vineyards hung heavy, the apples were sweet
The fields rich with pumpkins lay under his feet
With a laugh in his throat and his stein raised high
He welcomed the dusk, under crisp autumn sky
His dunkel was poured, dark and full...

It’s okay to Fall
I got up today
The outside is gray
Full of clouds
I no longer felt the doubt
Taking one day at a time
My war cry had died down
The leaves are changing
The temperature has dropped
Reminding me that where things die
Something else comes back more alive
The outside is gray
Full of clouds
I no longer felt the doubt
Taking one day at a time
My war cry had died down

Goodbye Summer
She tested us
Every way she could
Burned us to the ground
Sweat, humidity and frowns
That damn sun
Relentless
Long evenings
Moon lit calls
Walking with you
Sweet summer
Margaritas by the seaside
Lust in the air
No cares
Too hot
Too much rain
Too much traffic
Too much
It goes fast
Somewhere in August
Knowing this will end soon
Labor Day
Last call
We love summer
Hate the heat
Complaints
Melancholy has a way
Autumn on the horizon
Damn pumpkin...
Every way she could
Burned us to the ground
Sweat, humidity and frowns
That damn sun
Relentless

September
The developing chill of September
grazes the bones.
Falling leaves
will become little cyclones.
Foliage begins to proclaim & exclaim
deep vibrancy of color.
With the nostalgic beauty
for which I yearn & hunger.
Soon to be barren, gaunt trees
bid farewell to their vanishing leaves.
That finally lay in a state of decay
As the earth bereaved.
grazes the bones.

Autumn in the Suburbs
Sometimes I think I'm just a murderer,
obsessed with one season,
stalking the red-gold woods and streets
with gloved hands and an ambition
to stain an oak tree red with blood
and thereby bring balance to creation.
Such absolute beauty
as autumn in the suburbs must
be paid for with a sacrifice.
I learned this holy fact when I was twelve
and hiding in the trees
I saw a man garrotte his love,
and leave it underneath a shroud
of crunchy, fallen leaves.
The lonely October unfurls,
a maid upon her silken bed. ...

Summer Countryside
Summer Countryside
Once alive yet never dead
Children’s spring summertime laughter echoes
In the air and skies overhead
Omnipresent love
Sunshine and breezes
Soft as doves
Morning light
Shining thru windows
Upon meadows warmth
Radiating from above
Flowers in bloom
Fields turning green and brown
Playgrounds full of joy
Till the rise of the new harvest moon
II.
Ghostly sounds echo in the cities
Suburbs and towns
The wind sweeps and howls
To the outskirts ...

Brisk walk, windchill
Leaves paint shadows on the sidewalk
A small flock of sparrows flit away
Avoiding my footfalls
A book tucked under my arm
I think of you fondly
It's the distance
Sending signals across the pond
Marred by fatal crossings

The Call Of September
This mornin' i woke up nicely shaped, the Fall once more still faithful to its mist.
to its chilling mornings, its mystic face, full of unpredictable tomorrows..but
they harbinger good vibes, shining and sparkling in the dew drops
that adorn the budding grass of September..
Cheerful vibes vibrate in the air, with sun rays effortlessly seep thru' the mist
and fall mild and damp on the tender ground..
Gently walking upward, the winds talking, whispering, inspiring a cool theme
on my mind; a pastoral diction in my heart, where the hills follow...

Nature's Anonymous
In a silent symphony of nature's anonymous
with untitled winds whispering to trees
as God is my witness harmonizing
with the birds and the bees
embracing seasons in Autumn's shade
as a medley of leaves cascade
with infinite horizons
