Who Sits Behind You?
She had seen enough movies to know she could
easily strangle the man in front of her.
She looked down at her shoe laces and looked
up at the back of the man's neck.
Her laces were old. Possibly dry rotted, they
could break with any real force applied.
She touched her belt. It was a bit wide she wasn't
sure if it would work. She imagined it would take
longer.
There was a CVS bag next to her. Maybe she
could snuff him out with that. Yeah right. Those
bags are cheap. She wondered why no one ever
ripped the bag...

It's my Jefferson Airplane life
We're rounding the corner of 79th Street
Onyx and I
Making sure the coast is clear
She doesn't like busses
A bus stop is there
I could avoid the stop but...
She needs to get used to them
They're everywhere here
She's getting better
This isn't small town Texas
An adopted hound
We've had her close to 4 months now
It's early morning
Wind is calm and not as cold as usual

Many years together
In the middle of the night
Between hot flashes
Trips to the bathroom
Dog snoring and shaking
A quiet snuggle with her
Last night as many nights
I called her my flower
Last night she said
"I love being your flower"
Then somehow we both fell out

If I had to say,
bloody diarrhea is the worst thing.
I thought blood was beautiful,
Until I smelt it from an anus,

Your Uber is Here
To make extra money I signed up to be an Uber driver
So I took my car to get detailed and waxed
Later that night I would pick up my first customer
And the person who booked it, his name was Max
It was a late Saturday night so people are out drinking
I had to pick up Max over at La Cienega’s restaurant row
There were a lot of folks up and down the street
The smell of food seemed to be everywhere I’d go
When I got to the place I kept looking for this guy Max
But no one seemed to be looking for my car and make
So I parked...

A junky yard for junkyard dogs
Buildings that stood tall we loved the view & looked down
Protective investments we saw equity in love & we stood on that
In the mud with someone who’s willing to stand in with you showed patience
Laughed but warned many how things could go if harm were the motive
We were junkyard dogs to some & made it clear they were correct
Ravenous with no help we medicated each other in different ways
We were animals & were told we needed chains
So I made sure they were iced out around our necks
...
