There was only one brewery in our hometown covering the whole district on flat-bed wagons with 50 horses
to get work as a driver was a sought-after occupation
when crates had been delivered at one grocer there was
usually the sharing of a bottle of beer which during the day amounted to a fair of ale.

The Evolution of Mankind
The next evolution of mankind,
to find our meaning within ourselves and not in nations or flags,
not in sacramental ideals nailed to the walls of another's creed,
not in the pigmentation of our hair, blood or skin.
When will mankind grow up
and stop leaning on the crutches of governments, religion, or greed.
When will we cast off the yoke of our need to be told what to believe.
When will we be free?

monuments

unmovable
cliffs
since conceived,
their first
breaths,

stable gaze,

countless eyes,
the waters
around you,
safe,

below you,

resting on
your shore,
washing

because it doesn’t cost much, does it mean that it lacks value?
Fine art done with a ballpoint pen seems like heresy.
