Broken promises
it's 2 am,
it's been 2 years in the making, tossing and turning over the pain, wishing you were still here,
Remembering all the good times we had, all the laughter, and the long nights.
tryin to bury the pain, but it seems to find its why back out, it doesnt hurt that your gone because i know your in a better place, but the thing that hurts the most is the unkept promises,
tossing and turning not able to sleep, i have you on my mind once again, i wasnt able to see you one last time and the pain is there, just sitting, not moving, and not going away.

All the little deviant images that go through my head?
There is a piece of me I am trying to repair.
I never said anything explicitly to you because I thought I could get over it.
But it burned me enough where its like having a leg thats constantly in pain and taking Vicodin every 3 hours to numb the pain.
I thought loving you would heal that wounded part.
I was wrong.
So I attempted ways to solve it. I dont know what I was looking for. Where it was...

We are all directionally challenged
We hold onto a GPS
The settings are different from others however
There are no arrows or lines
Only words
No Left or Right
Up or Down
Behind or Front
Just the words
“I am ____”
These two words are the most strongest
We can have an occupation in the blank
An emotion
Mental illness or Disease
Our inner child
Or our outer adult
Our race
Our Sexual orientation
Our age
Our name
Our everything

But the person who plagues my thoughts
Is still alive
Almost every night I dream of you
